The Utes were blown out over the weekend at Wichita State. They are not going to be happy here and they are going to take it out on Savannah State! Utah has a major size advantage in this game. Savannah does not have anyone taller than 6-8. Utah is too big in the post and will dominate this game from start to finish. Savannah State was blown out by Baylor earlier this year. Utah plays a lot like Baylor does and can match the Bears' 39-point blowout in that game. Utah wants to win this one by a big margin to get their confidence back up. They will take care of business. Lay the points.

3-Unit Play. Take #520 Utah (-3) over New Orleans (9 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 16)

I will go with the Jazz. They lost back-to-back games to Oklahoma City last week and then were blown out by San Antonio. That is a tough schedule. But they were able to have a night off last night and will bounce back today. Utah has been very good at home and the home team has won eight of the last 10 meetings between these two teams. Utah is 6-1 ATS in their last seven games against the Pelicans and New Orleans has been terrible over the last few weeks. New Orleans is just 2-7 SU and ATS in its last nine games and this team is not playing well at all. They have lost five straight road games and I do not see them getting a win in Utah tonight. The Jazz are 12-3 ATS after they get a day of rest and 11-4 ATS after a loss. They are the play here.


2-Unit Play. Take #514 Oklahoma City (-9.5) over Portland (8 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 16)
This one should be a blowout. Oklahoma City is starting to play really well. They have won five straight games and last weekend swept Utah in back-to-back wins. The Thunder are 3-1 ATS in their last four games and 4-2 ATS in their last six games against Portland. This team can be one of the best teams in the West when they get going with Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook. Portland has been terrible on the road and they are just 2-10 ATS when they play on the road against a team with a winning record at home. The Blazers are 8-22 ATS when they play a team with a winning percentage over 60 and they should get blown away by OKC tonight. Lay the points.

6 Unit Play. Take #507 Over 191 Miami at Brooklyn (7:35 p.m., Wednesday, December 16)

The Miami Heat offense has been clicking in their last two games and I had this game circled after their display on the road in Atlanta. The Heat won that game but I really liked the flow of their offense and they scored 100 points. Brooklyn plays no defense and in their last 6 games 5 of them they gave up 100 plus points. Thought the oddsmakers would had posted 193-194 in this game so I see tons of value on this over. Brooklyn last 5 home games they are averaging 98ppg and tonight I see both teams playing up-tempo games. Miami is 6-2 O/U against a team with a losing record and the Nets are 4-1 O/U against a team with a SU record. Last 28 meetings in Brooklyn against these two teams 20 of them have gone OVER and tonight I see another over game.

Take Gardner-Webb ATS as my 7-Unit CBB Smash for Wednesday night. We are getting very good line value here with a Runnin Bulldogs team that I have potentially winning this game outright. Gardner-Webb is 14-5 ATS in their last 19 games after a win and they have had a lot tougher strength of schedule to start the season which explains their losing record. LSU has played nobody worth mentioning this season and they are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 non-conference games. LSU is also just 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games when playing a team with a losing record and I look for Gardner-Webb to keep this game close enough to win it in the second half. Strike point sports 7-Unit Play. Take #505 Minnesota (+5) over New York (7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 16)
This is a solid spot to take the Wolves. One, I love them as road dogs, and two, I hate the Knicks as a home favorite. The Knicks aren't, and haven't been the type of team that just blows people out on their home floor. They typically play tight games or just lay an egg and lose outright. New York is just 5-7 S.U. On their home floor thus far this season. Yes, the rest should prove beneficial for most teams, but for this Knicks squad it just makes them rusty. Minnesota on the other hand has been a solid dog play this season. The back-to-back is always tough but the Wolves are a young squad and they will be amped up to play at MSG. This is the type of game where the road team is more fired up for this game than the home squad. The youth and the excitement will be too much for the Knicks in this one. Vegas has over compensated for the back-to-back and we are catching too much value on the Wolves to pass up. Take the road dog in this one.
