The wrong team is the favorite in this one! What are the books thinking? I think Northridge is going to win this game outright. This team has revenge for a loss to Portland State last year and I think that Northridge is clearly the better team in this game. They have played a Top 40 schedule so far this year. They have only won once. But they have played tough against teams like Wright State, South Dakota, Loyola Marymount and San Francisco. They either won those games or loss by less than tonight's spread. Those teams are all better than Portland State. Portland is 3-5 but only one win has come against a Division I team. The Vikings are 1-7 ATS in their last eight nonconference games and Cal-Northridge has gone 5-2 ATS in its last seven games after a loss. I like the road team here and do not be surprised if this one is an upset

The San Jose Sharks have been a very streaky team this season. This is a team on a bit of a slide right now having dropped 6 of their last 7 games coming into this one. It got ugly during that stretch of games also as they were outscored 20-9 in a 6 game losing streak. They snapped the losing streak and started a big 5 game road trip off with a victory in their last game but I feel they were outplayed in that game. That win last game though a big win for San Jose, also hurts them a little here in this one as it takes away their sense of urgency in this spot tonight.

The Toronto Maple Leafs are the kind of team you want to be looking for this time of the year in hockey as the team is a much improved from earlier in the season. Things look like their starting to click now for this team as this is year one for them with their new head coach Mike Babcock. They've outshot their last 8 opponents by an average of over 5 shots per game. Most of their problems this season have come when they've played backup goalie Jonathon Bernier as they've lost all 10 of the 10 games he's appeared in this season. When he's out this has been a much better team. Rookie Garret Sparks is in the nets for the Leafs here and that helps our case in this one.

The Thunder look really good and they avoided the proverbial let down last night. Both Westbrook and Durant didn't have to extend themselves too much as neither player hit the 30 minute mark. To be honest, not one player on the entire Thunder roster played 30 minutes. This team is going to be fresh and ready to make a statement versus the East's best in Cleveland. Iman Shumpert is banged up again and may not play. Even if he does he will struggle to defend as his groin injury is one that can linger. I feel that he won't play. This is going to be an entertaining game but in the end the Western Conference team has more talent. Take the Thunder.
