For this game, the Georgia players are more excited that their new head coach, Kirby Smith, is coming in after he completes the Alabama season. Then they'll have "skin in the game" and play hard. Mark Richt is off to Miami and this bowl game is totally meaningless for the Bulldogs. On the other side are the Nitney Lions building on the future with team and individual goals to accomplish. Pass rusher Carl Nassib will be back after missing two games due to injury to lead a strong Penn State defense that is finally healthy. The Nittany Lions struggled on the offensive end, but quarterback Christian Hackenberg will look for a big game before possibly heading off to the NFL Draft. It's hard to tell if Georgia will even be motivated to play this game considering all of the turmoil surrounding the program since the end of the regular season. Georgia is undergoing a complete overhaul as they transition out of the Mark Richt era. Even the Bulldogs interim coach for Saturday is on his way out. Penn St can score two touchdowns and two field goals to go along with the oddsmakers points being offered and come away with a nice pointspread cover. Hard nose defense by both clubs will keep this a lower scoring affair bordering on boredom...but winning.Comment
