I will take the points in this matchup. Georgia State is not as good as they were last year. They lost a lot to graduation and are rebuilding. Troy has given them a lot of trouble over the last few years. Troy is 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings and the Trojans are 4-5 SU in the last nine meetings despite being an underdog in each of those games. Troy is 8-4 ATS in its last 12 road games and after three straight losses they need a win. They are 3-1 ATS in their last four games and they will get the job done tonight.

2-Unit Play. Take #752 Mississippi (-5.5) over Alabama (9 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 7)

Ole Miss was blown out in Kentucky. They are going to bounce back at home here against Alabama. The Crimson Tide host Kentucky this weekend and I think that they are looking past Ole Miss and ahead to the Wildcats. They have covered three straight against Alabama and have won seven of the last 10 meetings. Ole Miss is actually 7-2 ATS in the last nine meetings in this series going back to 2010. I think they will get it done on their home court.

2-Unit Play. Take #721 Elon (+8) over James Madison (7 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 7)

I like the points in this matchup. Elon is an undervalued team under Matt Matheny. I think that this team is much better this year under him and Elon could pull an upset here. This team only lost at Syracuse by 11 points and they are a very confident team after winning seven of their last nine games. James Madison has not played a tough schedule and has not been able to blow out some of the bad teams they have played. They lost their last home game to Charleston and Elon will get the job done tonight.

2-Unit Play. Take #755 Michigan (+7.5) over Purdue (7 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 7)

I will take the points in this game. Michigan is always a good underdog under John Beilein. Purdue has underachieved so far and is coming off a bad loss at home to Iowa. Michigan is 4-0 ATS in its last four games and they have gotten healthy at the right time. They might be without Caris Lavert tonight. But they won by 23 points in a blowout over Penn State over the weekend with out him and beat Illinois by 10 points on the road without him playing the whole game. Michigan will be fine. The Wolverines have beaten Purdue straight up in four of the last five meetings.
