Sunday's College Basketball Plays
3-Unit Play. #851 Take Wake Forest (+10) over Notre Dame (1 p.m., Sunday, January 31)
The Irish will likely be without top scorer Demetrius Jackson, and minus their best guard this number is too steep. Wake Forest are 4-1 ATS in their last five games as an underdog, and they have won as many times away from home as they have on their own floor this year. Notre Dame are 3-6-1 ATS in their last ten games overall, and they won't be able to pull away here. This one stays close late.
3-Unit Play. #854 Take Detroit (-3) over Wright State (1 p.m., Sunday, January 31)
Before their recent string of losses to the Horizon league's best (Valparaiso and Oakland), the Titans were wrecking conference opponents at home. Detroit has non-conference wins over Toledo, Northeastern and Bowling Green, as well as league home victories over Youngstown State, UIC and Cleveland State. Of their seven home wins vs. D-1 opponents, Detroit have won by an average of nine points. Wright State is 2-7 this year on the road, 3-7-1 ATS in their last 11 road games as well. The Titans are scoring 85 points per game at home while the Raiders are only putting up 62 on the road. This one is going to get away from the road team. All Detroit here.
3-Unit Play. #879 Take Oregon (-2.5) over Arizona State (8:30 p.m., Sunday, January 31)
The Ducks are in a groove right now, and I don't think the Sun Devils will be the team good to keep Oregon from another league win. Oregon is coming into this game on an impressive three-game winning streak. They've beaten USC, UCLA and just last time out Arizona in Tucson by a combined 30 points. ASU doesn't have the firepower to slow a confident Ducks team. More good from the Quack Attack, and they earn another road win in the league, 74-70.
