Last night when I saw the oddsmaker post UNLV -14 I thought maybe the Spartans had some value but I'm shocked overnight UNLV is now -15.5. UNLV will be without Zimmerman Jr and Carter and not only will that hurt their defense but now their bench will be short. San Jose St comes to Las Vegas winning back-to-back conference home games while UNLV has dropped 3-straight and 4 out of 5 games. San Jose St is 8-1 ATS in their last 9 road games and the Spartans are 8-2 ATS against Conference opponents.

2 Unit Play. Take #575 Over 127 San Diego St at Fresno St (11:00p.m., Wednesday February 10 CBSC)
Staying in the Mountain West and tonight at the Save Mart Center in Fresno, California we should see the home team controlling the tempo. The Bulldogs are averaging 74.8ppg and at home they are averaging 78.4ppg. These two teams played in San Diego last month and went into overtime and the Aztecs won 73-67 (game went over). 3-Unit Play. Take #542 Georgia Tech (-7.5) over Wake Forest (7 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 10)

Georgia Tech is a large favorite here for a reason. This team is better than its record. They are also desperate for wins since their coach is coaching for his job. Wake Forest has lost 10 of its last 11 games and this team has been terrible in league play. They are on an eight-game losing streak and they were blown out twice at home last week against Clemson and Florida State. This team doesn't look to be playing hard. The Deacons are 1-4 ATS in their last five games and Georgia Tech is 7-3 ATS in its last 10 games after a loss. The Yellowjackets are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 ACC games and they are playing much better basketball right now.

3-Unit Play. Take #543 Texas A&M (-4.5) over Alabama (7 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 10)

The Aggies are 15-7 ATS in their last 22 games after a loss and are coming off an upset loss at home against South Carolina. I don't see this team losing two games in a row and will take care of Alabama. The Crimson Tide might again be without key big man Shannon Hale. That is going to make it tough to slow down the big post players for A&M. Alabama has really struggled at home against the top teams in the league, losing to Kentucky and LSU. I think that they will fall again to another quality Top 25 team.

2-Unit Play. Take #555 Baylor (+1.5) over Kansas State (8 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 10)

These are two very similar teams. Both rely on their big post players to control the paint and get easy baskets for their offense. Both teams play the same way but Baylor plays that way better. They have lost two straight games to Texas and WVU and they need this win to get things turned around. Kansas State is coming off a big week. They were blown out in a heated rivalry game at Kansas. But then they pulled off a stunning upset over Oklahoma on Saturday. I think that the Wildcats are going to have a letdown here. This team shouldn't be favored and they will wear down late in this game. Go with Baylor.

2-Unit Play. Take #561 Michigan (-7) over Minnesota (8 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 10)

Minnesota is the worst team in the Big Ten and they are on a 12-game losing streak. They have been blown out of most of these games and lost by 24 their last time out, at Northwestern. Michigan has lost two in a row. But they played two very good teams in Indiana and Michigan State. They did not play well in either game and I am sure that John Beilein will have his team focused for this one. Michigan is working hard to get back to the NCAA Tournament and can't afford to lose on the road to a bad team like this.

2-Unit Play. Take #570 UNLV (-14.5) over San Jose State (9 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 10)

The Rebels are going to be without star freshman Stephen Zimmerman tonight. But I think that the rest of this team is going to rally and give an extra effort. This is the local Vegas team so the oddsmakers know them better than anyone. It is a red flag that they are still this large of a favorite even without one of their key starters. This team has lost three straight but has been very good at home and has blowout home wins over Air Force, New Mexico and Boise State. The Rebels are 19-7 ATS against teams with a losing record and should win this one going away.
