#869 Canisius 2.0(-110) Greek vs #870 St. Peter's double-dime bet
Analysis: Matchup and semi-revenge issue here, IMO. I say "semi" because it's road revenge which isn't quite as high on the list - but Canisius was hammered at home. The matchup issue is that although St. Peters' has the "overall" better defense, it's mainly interior, which is not where Canisius likes to do their damage. They'll shoot three's and DO get to the line a fair bit. The one thing Canisius does do is create turnovers, and St. Pe ´ters hasn't been the Fort Knox of protecting the ball. The Griff's defense isn't great, but neither is the Peacocks offense. Fading the home team with the precedent of losing to Cornell and RIder (badly) at home - betting on the road team that's won four Conference road games and had an extra days'rest. We'll see what happens.
A quick rundown of some of the other games -
We're GOING to pay a premium (always) for Michigan State - so the actual line should PROBABLY be less than -7, but I don't trust Indiana's defense - or lack of at times. They will run - so I could make a case for the over and the initial tick down perhaps a setup.
I am looking at perhaps Loyola Chicago - they beat Creighton and Northern Iowa, they don't suck. E'ville is the better team, but remember this isn't on paper. They've lost four of six and don't have a great road win - only beating LC by 8 at home this season.
The line is moving to FSU but I just don't know. Far too much of a rivalry for these guys - and yes, I would expect FSU to bounce back after losing at Syracuse (thank you) but the matchup really favors Miami, IMO. I think if I had to bet that game I'd wait and see if there's a clear sign which side the real money is and follow.
I know Arizona is pissed at the 4 OT loss at USC - but that's just a ton of points NOT to take, IMO. However, it's there for a reason and we've got plenty of time.
My instinct alone tells me UCLA is only +3 for a reason - almost the "due theory" which I'd be lying if I said I never bet on - we'll see.
