3 Unit Play. Take #874 Princeton -3 over Yale (7:00 PM, Friday, February 19)

I was going to go dark on the NCAA Harwood tonight but when this number came out, I had to jump on it. Princeton will be out for revenge after their loss to Yale at the end of January and I think they get it done in a big way on their home court. The Tigers have posted a 4-1-1 record against the number in their last six Ivy League games and they have gone 3-1-1 ATS after a straight up win. Throw in the revenge factor and that Princeton needs the game as these two are fighting for first place and I'm laying the points here with the Tigers to get the home win and cover over Yale on Friday.

3 Unit Play Take #52 Carolina +115 over San Jose (7:05pmest):

Looking to once again back the underrated Carolina Hurricanes in this one. Catching a satisfied fat and happy San Jose team who is 2-0 to start their road trip here and who may not be as focused as needed in this one. Carolina has also outshot their last 5 opponents and have been a solid under the radar team all year in the advanced stats I like to use.

                Take Carolina here.

5 Unit Play. Take #862 Sacramento Kings -4 over Denver Nuggets (10:05 PM, Friday, February 19)

The Sacramento Kings will look to start off the second half of their season with a win when they take on the Denver Nuggets at the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento on Friday night. The Kings didn't make a big splash like many thought they would at the trade deadline yesterday but they are still just four games out of the final playoff spot in the West and if they have any plans on playing in the postseason, that push needs to start tonight. DeMarcus Cousins should be too much for the Denver interior defense tonight and while the Kings don't play much defense, I don't see anyone on the Denver roster that is capable of putting up big numbers here on Friday. Lay the points with the Kings to get the home win and cover over the Nuggets as they start to move towards that 8 seed in the Western Conference playoff race.

triple-dime bet 864 POR 9.0 (-120) Pinnacle vs 863 GSW Analysis: There are plenty of "9's" out there but I'll use -120 because my guess is there may not be and I hate hooks. We're of course going to pay a huge premium for Golden State - and in this case Portland hasn't lost a game (they were actually on a 8-1 run going into the break, so confident here) but nine points since the back end of a B2B at Philadelphia over a month ago. Prior to that - their next and perhaps worst loss of the season was at home to these Warriors in early January by 20 points. They'll be motivated for sure. Teams that are rhythm teams like GS CAN tend to get out of sync with a huge layoff. What I really like here is that Portland has been playing defense, only allowing one opponent to score more than 106 points in their last eleven games - and they're #3 in the NBA in fewest fast break points allowed. The Blazers are ninth in opponents FG's made per game and they're third in the league in offensive rebounds, something Golden State has actually allowed at a fairly high rate. This is the first of six straight road games for the Warriors, and they've got one tomorrow at the Clippers - so perhaps SOME looking to "the next one" here - we'd like to think. This is the first of four straight home games for Portland, who has tomorrow off and is 16-11 at home this season. I love their chances here with Lillard and McCollum both averaging over 20+ per game, and having Crabbe and Aminu as options as well. They've got more offensive firepower than one would think - yes, the Warriors are the Warriors and they've got "what's his name" and Klay Thompson. They'll get theirs but I like the WaƓrriors bench here to keep this game close. No, it would not surprise me if Portland won outright, but nine points is just too many.

dime bet 874 Princeton -2.5 (-120) Pinnacle vs 873 Yale Analysis: I'll buy the hook here, althošugh I do recommend playing the ML, but won't put out a -150 or more play for the daily people not expecting that. Princeton NEEDS this game to stay in Ivy League contention - especially since they don't have a Conference Tournament - at least not until possibly next year. They're talking about it. Anyhow, no Jack Monatgue for Yale is a bit of a big deal since he's their best three point shooter, which is about the best way to beat Princeton (jump shots). Princeton shoots 77% in Conference play from the line - so like UConn last night we can get this late if need be. Yale beat a "down" Tiger team twice last season, as if Princeton really needs motivation here. They simply HAVE to win this game, and that situation has been very good to us the last couple of weeks (it usually is this time of year). Yes, Yale has the #1 everything in the Conference, but Princeton has the #2 everything and is at home. IMO that +3 and +140 or so still sitting out their for Yale is somewhat telling in that nobody is lining up to buy it, at least yet. Where the Tigers might have a slight advantage is in the turnover game - they're a little better at creating them and a little better at protecting the ball.

If I really wanted something do to in the early game, Kent State is apparently the "cool" side. I dunno about taking the "new" number - but I could surely tease them with any number of teams. Oral Roberts and Iona would be my first two choices.

5:10PM EST - I am reasonably certain (no, I am certain) we will take Clemson tomorrow. BetOnline has them +2 at the moment. I don't know what that line will do - but I doubt it gets TOO much better - so perhaps throwing a marble on it now - and waiting til tomorrow to either add more or leave it be.
