Analysis:First off, UNLV isn't very good on the road. The Rebels are 2-8 in true away contests this season. They've failed to cover in their last four road matchups.
Second, the Rebels are near depleted. Already down big men Stephen Zimmerman and Ben Carter, their two leading rebounders, the Rebels now won't have key reserve Dwayne Morgan, who had been averaging close to 20 minutes. He's out with a shoulder injury. That leaves the Rebels down to six scholarship players.
The third key factor here is the situation. UNLV is off a crazy overtime victory against in-state rival Nevada this past Saturday at home. The Rebels tied the game on a 3-pointer by Patrick Macaw right before the buzzer sending the game into overtime.
The spot is a double edge sword because not only do the Rebels have to come down from that high, pulling out a game against their most hated rival, but Boise State is rested, ready and has revenge. The Broncos last played on Wednesday. They blew a 76-61 lead to lose on the road to New Mexico in their last game.
So not only are the Broncos itching to erase that stench, but have payback for a 10-point road loss to the Rebels. UNLV had Zimmerman and Carter in that matchup. The two combined for 28 points and 19 rebounds in that game.
Boise State is up-tempo. The Rebels are going to be hard-pressed to keep up with the Broncos being short-handed and at a tough road venue.

4 Unit Play. Take #704 Washington -4.5 over New Orleans (6:05 p.m., Tuesday, February 23)
The New Orleans Pelicans have struggled on the road all season long going 7-21 and I know their last road game A. Davis blew up the Detroit Pistons but I don't see that happening again. Washington has won 3-straight home games and all 3 games were by double-digits and tonight I see the Wizards controlling the tempo. Tonight I see the backcourt of Washington winning this game and I see John Wall having a much better shooting performance then he did against Miami in their last game. Last 9 meetings between these two teams New Orleans is 2-7 ATS and Washington is 5-0 ATS when playing on 2-days of rest.

2-Unit Play. Take #57 Nashville (-135) over Toronto (7:30) p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 23)
Toronto is the worst team in the NHL and their last seven games have proven just such. The Maple Leafs are now 1-6 over the stretch and are giving up many too many goals. They have given up 28 goals to their opponents while only scoring 15. They rank 28 in goals per game, 25th in goals against, 30th on the power play and 20th on the penalty kill. This team is in rebuilding mode and while management may not say so, they will be looking for that number one pick in the draft. Nashville still has a shot at the playoffs but needs to make their surge now. They are only 3-4 over their last 7 games but have played an extremely tough schedule over the stretch. Look for Nashville to win this game by 2 or 3 goals tonight.
4-Unit Play. Take #61 Dallas (-125) over Winnipeg (8:00) p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 23)
Back on February 2nd the Stars played the Jets in Winnipeg and won 5-3 while dominating the pace of play. Dallas has also won the other two match-ups this season where they totaled 13 goals to Winnipeg's 7. The Stars have the better offense, defense, power play and goal tender at this point in the season. Their offense is extremely dangerous especially against teams who are struggling in between the pipes. The Jets are giving up 2.9 goals to their opponents and have yet to find consistency in the net. They are ranked near the bottom of the league on the power play and penalty kill and have been dreadful at home. In their last ten games they are 2-8 in Winnipeg. The Stars tend to bounce back rather quickly after a loss of 3 or more goals and are 14-3 in their last 17 in this scenario. Dallas wins tonight in Winnipeg.
3-Unit Play. Take #59 Tampa (-1.5, +140) over Arizona (7:30) p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 23)
Tampa Bay has won 6 out of the last 10 head to head games when facing Arizona but have yet to face them this season. The Coyotes have slowly been improving their young squad this season but are still having trouble hanging with some of the better teams in the league. Tampa Bay seems to be hitting their stride and gearing up for another playoff run and have won their last 3 straight. During those 3 games the Lightning have 14 total goals to their opponents 9. Tampa Bay also plays well in the fourth game of a 4-in-6 situation and are 5-1 in this situation. The Coyotes are a long way from home and will be playing on back to back nights. They are 1-5 in their last 6 games playing on 0 days of rest. Tampa Bay is just too good at home and have way more depth than the Coyotes. Look for the Lightning to win their 4thgame in a row.
2-Unit Play. Take #64 Minnesota (-125) over NY Islanders (8:00) p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 23)
Although the NY Islanders won their last road game they have not looked like the best team on the road this month. They are 2-3 in their last 5 road games with their two win coming in Columbus and New Jersey. Mind you that both of these wins were 1 point games with the Columbus game going into a SO. Their losses come from Carolina (3-6), Detroit (1-5), and Washington (3-2). With Minnesota's new outlook and new found offense the Wild will now try and win for their first time in 8 games at home. Minnesota has now went from one of the worst offenses to the best in a 4 game span. They have put up 26 goals over their last 4 games while only giving up 8 to their opponents. I am not going to go away from the hot team right now. Look for the Wild to string their 5th consecutive win together tonight at home.
3 Unit Play Take #61 Dallas -125 over Winnipeg (8:05pm est):
Dallas isn't a happy team right now having dropped three straight games and the last two in embarrassing fashion. The Stars should bring maximum intensity and effort here after how poorly they've played. They had won 7 of their last 8 before this recent 3 game skid. They also come into this game having beaten Winnipeg already 3 games to 0 this season and in convincing fashion nearly doubling them in goals in those games
