Buffalo has covered 20 of 27 when the total is 130 to 140 and 8 of 9 vs teams who score 65 or less points per game. In the series Buffalo has won and covered 5 straight. Take buffalo in this one. New Mexico (+1) over San Diego State
7:30 PM (EST) -- WisePies Arena
Perfect Play--New Mexico This is a game about two current rivals. This is about New Mexico avenging a 7 point loss 3 weeks ago. This is about the storied Lobos home court known as "The Pit". Few teams come into the Pit and come out with a win. Boise just went into San Diego and grabbed a rare win. Maybe there''s more to their team than a lack of scoring points. The Lobos need this win to reach the 17 wins mark. The other 3 wins needed after that for an at large berth will come later this week and in the first 2 rounds of the Mountain West Conference tournament. Elijah Brown is Mr. All-Everything for the Lobos. He does it all by scoring, rebounding and dishing out assists. But he''s not alone and has help from Cullen Neal and Tim Williams. The "key" to this game is that the first one to reach 70 points will win this game. They are 12-4 at home and will put forth their best effort of the year in defeating the Aztecs. San Diego may not have quite the motivation compared to New Mexico as they have already locked up the conference title.

            Indian Cowboy

            3 Plays Today:
3-Unit Play. #552. Take Iowa -4.5 over Indiana (Tuesday @ 9pm est) (Currently -3.5 at Wynn)
We roll with Iowa today as they hook up with Indiana. Note, Iowa really needs a big win here and they likely get it at the expense of Indiana. Iowa is a top 20 offensive team and this is a team that has a lot of pride behind the coaching of Fran McCaffery and having lost to Penn State, Wisconsin and Ohio State will not bear well for this team. This team needs a big win as they sit at 11-5 in conference as to avoid a relatively difficult seeding in the NCAA Tournament. With Michigan on deck if they can win this game and the next one, they will sit at 12-6 in the Big 10 which will be sufficient for two decent rounds of opponents to get them to the Sweet 16. Indiana comes off a huge win over Illinois and likely has a let down here after the big win and Iowa desperately needs this game and will play with a sense of urgency.
            4-Unit Play. #557. Take Missouri +13 over LSU (Tuesday @ 9pm est)
We roll with Missouri here as they have very little to play for and beating LSU will go a long way for morale for this team. With LSU coming off a big win against Florida, look for them to have a let down here against Missouri a sub .500 team who will be an after thought for them. With lack of talent, Missouri played their hearts out at Texas A&M only losing by 15 against a very competent team which speaks volume to their no quit attitude. They only lost to Arkansas by 12 in a very difficult place to play in Arkansas. They only lost by 9 to a rising Ole Miss team as well. Heck, they even beat Tennessee and South Carolina at home which speaks volumes as well. LSU has Kentucky on deck and will likely not be as focused. Missouri does well today.
4-Unit Play. #539. Take Under 150.5 Baylor vs. Oklahoma (Tuesday @ 8pm est) (Currently 151 at William Hill and Sportsbook)
The last time these two teams met the game went over the posted total but we suspect this game likely goes under the posted total. Note, that when Baylor has revenge they do veryw ell on the defensive end. For example, giving up 67 to the Texas loss then giving up 64 with revenge the next time they played them. Oklahoma off a loss as well they will be focused on the defensive side of the ball and unlike the first time these two teams met, look for this game to likely go under the posted total this time around. Two focused teams that will be playing well on the defensive side of the ball.
Tuesday Thoughts: No particular lean on Clemson/Virginia game, could go either way, Clemson does have revenge and this is their post-season game if you will. Lean on Duke, coming off a 14 point loss to Pitt, they will be up for this game. Lean on Louisville coming off a loss, they likely step up here though Tech is playing much better. Dangerous game for Purdue, heavy public favorites and Nebraska comes off a loss to Penn State which has to irk them. It's a game they should have never done as bad as they did against a team outside the top 130 and scoring just 55 points at that. Lean on Iowa, coming off 3 straight losses and Indiana off huge win, possible let down. Small lean on Tennessee, they have very little to play for so at least they can hang tough in this rivalry. Missouri probably surprisingly hangs tough in this contest. Small lean on Texas A&M, though Auburn off a loss to Alabama, A&M is a very strong team and they are rolling right now after struggling for several games.

                    NBA

                    3 Plays Today:

7-Unit Play. #511. Take Over 220 Atlanta vs. Golden State (Tuesday @ 10:35pm est) (219.5 at CG Tech and Westgate)
We roll with 3 Plays today the crux of which is the Over between Atlanta vs. Golden State. We understand that Curry is questionable and frankly we hope that he does not play which will actually help the Over as Golden State's output would be more without Curry for 1 or 2 games that he is listed as questionable and injured. More players will contribute to the output for a few games when a key player or starter is injured per our models for the past 10 years. But even if Curry does play, we still like the Over. The Hawks and Golden State played a very defensive battle in Atlanta we do not see that to duplicate here. Atlanta remembers losing 92-102 to Golden State as recently as February 22nd and this is a good opportunity for them to bounce-back here. Mainly, Atlanta remembers getting routed early in the game before making a strong comeback but falling short at home and we suspec they will not start slow in this contest. At the same time, we also like Golden State coming out strong especially without Curry and we expect a lot of jump shots and a free flowing game. Plus, Atlanta only put up 87 points against Charlotte and we expect a much stronger offensive output in this contest. The Over is 9-3-1 for Golden State coming off a road trip of 7 days or longer and you have a very motivated Atlanta team coming off a win but poor offensive performance in their last game, with revenge from a poor first half against Golden State in Atlanta and a motivated Golden State team especially if Curry decides to rest the ankle today. With or without Curry we like the Over as we have this contest at 227.

                    3-Unit Play. #502. Take Charlotte -12.5 over Phoenix (Tuesday @ 7:05pm est)
Charlotte comes off a terrible performance against Atlanta scoring sub 80 and we expect them to have a strong bounce-back today. Phoenix comes off a big win and a rare win at that winning 111-102 and with Miami on deck will likely be looking ahead. Phoenix does not do well coming off big wins and with Charlotte not having back to back losses in quite some time and the last time they lost was to Cleveland 103-114, their next game immediately they won as 3.5 point underdogs to Indiana on the road 96-95. Look for Charlotte to bounce-back nicely here against Phoenix and likely win by 16 points or more - plus, Charlotte has revenge from an earlier season loss to Phoenix as well.

3-Unit Play. #503. Take Portland -5.5 over New York (Tuesday @ 7:35pm est)
For Portland, this is a revenge game from losing to New York earlier this year and this is a team that will be highly motivated coming into this game. Portland has won 8 of 9 and what better way to keep it rolling than beating another Eastern Conference team to keep moving up in the Western Conference Standings than beating New York in Madison Square Garden, a team who they lost to by 2 the last time they met. Great spot for Portland and regardless of being a public fade, this is a team that has beat the likes of Golden State, Utah and Houston and likely steps up here to pick up an important win as these are the games they need to win as it is tough to win contests in the Western Conference.
NBA Tuesday Thoughts: Lean on Dallas with huge revenge against Orlando though line is going the other way. Small lean on Brooklyn with revenge against the Lakers. Small lean on Miami.

                        6-Unit Play. Take #9 Florida (-115) over Winnipeg (8:00) p.m., Tuesday, Mar. 1)

The Florida Panthers are about to change their 0-5 record in Winnipeg and start the month of March off right. Florida previously played Winnipeg at home on February 20th where the Panthers beat the Jets 3-1. The overall talent of the Panthers was on display that night and I don't see this changing tonight against a Jets team who is less skilled, lack discipline, and can't compete with Florida's young speed. This should be an easy win for the Panthers tonight after coming off two tough losses. Florida is 10-1 in their last 11 Tuesday match-ups still have a strong chance to win the Atlantic Division. I like the additions they made to their team prior to the trade deadline and the 3 acquisitions will help on both ends of the ice. Take the stronger more skilled team tonight in Winnipeg.

                        3-Unit Play. Take #4 Boston (-1.5, +145) over Calgary (7:00) p.m., Tuesday, Mar. 1)

The Bruins took the night off on Sunday and only put up 1 point against the surging Lightning. But in Boston's previous 4 games they 20 total goals and were scoring at will. I like the acquisitions Boston made the other night prior to the trade deadline and think this team is going to make a playoff run this season. Boston acquired forward Lee Stempniak from New Jersey and they also acquired a Defensemen John-Michael Liles from Carolina. Both these two players are perfect additions to their squad, especially Liles. Calgary is just a mess. They have 2 wins in their last ten games and continue to give up massive amounts of goals to their opponents. The Flames have no answer in between the pipes and won't be able to hang in Boston tonight. Look for the Bruins to win by at least two goals tonight at home.

                        5-Unit Play. Take #15 NY Islanders (-140) over Vancouver (10:00) p.m., Tuesday, Mar. 1)

NY will look to shake off the dust from their 3-1 loss in Edmonton on Sunday. But prior to this loss they were red hot on the road winning three straight while only giving up 2 total goals over the three games. NY has also been playing better on offense as well. They are ranked 8th in the league while averaging 2.78 goals per game which is one of the reasons why they are third in the Metro and one point ahead of Pittsburgh. NY outshot the Canucks 48-26 back in January but ended up falling 2-1 in a shootout and was the 5th time they lost to Vancouver in six tries. But the Islanders are 5-0 in their last 5 Tuesday games and 4-1 in their last 5 when they play on only one day of rest. NY has the better all-around team, offense, defense and power play. If NY even comes close to hitting 40 shots on goal tonight I don't see Vancouver standing a chance. I will take the more disciplined team tonight in Vancouver.

                        1-Unit Play. Take #2 New Jersey (-125) over Carolina (7:00) p.m., Tuesday, Mar. 1)

With the NY Rangers acquiring Eric Stall from the Carolina Hurricanes it is clearly obvious that Carolina has gone into rebuilding mode once again. New Jersey on the other hand is still fighting for a wild card spot but hasn't been producing over their last 6 games. They are 1-5 in their last six games with their one win coming from the NY Rangers. Their top defense has fallen apart over the last 6 games and have been giving up too many goals. The Devils have given up 23 goals to their opponents over the stretch while still struggling on offense. But even with that being said the Devils are the better squad in this match-up. They have the better defense and goal tender and I like them at home in this match-up for a bounce back win. The home team has won 4 of the last 5 contests in this match-up. Without Stall this Hurricane team doesn't have much going for it. Take New Jersey at home tonight.

                        2-Unit Play. Take #6 Buffalo (-125) over Edmonton (7:00) p.m., Tuesday, Mar. 1)

Buffalo has just been playing better hockey even if their record doesn't show it. They are now 4-4 in their last 8 games and have beaten Montreal, Colorado, San Jose and Columbus. Their losses have come from Ottawa, Pittsburgh, Anaheim, and LA. They have only been beaten by more than one goal one time over the stretch and that was from a 2-0 shutout from the Kings. Edmonton has only 2 wins in their last ten games and aren't taking strides forward like the Sabres. Buffalo has the better all-around team with the better defense, goaltender, power play, win more face-offs and are more disciplined on the ice. The Sabres are also 6-1 in their last seven home games against a team with a road percentage of less than .400. Take Buffalo at home tonight.

                          3 Unit Play. Take #506 Miami -5.5 over Chicago (7:35 p.m., Tuesday, March 1)
I don't want no part of the Chicago Bulls until they get healthy and right now they are not. Derrick Rose is supposed to play tonight but they will still be without Jimmy Butler and with no Butler I see Chicago again struggling to score points. Chicago has dropped back-to-back games and their defense has given up over 100 points in 13-straight games. Miami has been playing without Chris Bosh but they just got Joe Johnson and that will help them with their offense and leadership on the court. Miami takes this home game and the Bulls continue to slide down the Eastern Conference

Edmonton has been struggling quite a bit of late but they've played a very difficult schedule also during their recent bad run. They put an end to a long losing streak last game with a real nice win over a red hot New York Islanders team. The Oilers have owned this series of late against Buffalo having won 4 of the past 5 match-ups.

Buffalo probably shouldn't be favored in this type of price range over any team in the NHL. The Sabres return home here after playing three games on the west coast. All three games were in favorable spots for Buffalo as they caught a few of those teams just returning home from extended trips but despite this they were outshot in all three games. They also traded away some decent players yesterday as well making them worse overall.

                            Take Edmonton here.
