This tournament has gone right as expected as the Top 4 from the regular season made the semi-finals and the Top 2 advanced to the Finals. Both games went to OT yesterday so there is no advantage there. Where there is an advantage is Utah is the now team as they have won 9 in a row and they beat a Cal team yesterday that was playing great Basketball at the end of the season in the PAC 12. In fact they might of been playing the best as they finally got healthy and was rolling late in season. I look at Oregon and even though Utah finished second in Conference in Oregon’s mind to win the PAC 12 Championship Arizona was the team to beat. Mentally I don’t think Utah gets the respect that Arizona does. With game being played in Vegas there will be a large number of Utah fans as they always travel well to Vegas. I also look at yesterday’s Oregon game and if you read the stats you would of thought they won easily. Oregon shot 48% from the field and an insane 52% from 3 point range while Arizona only shot 39% from the field and yet this game went to OT. That tells me this Oregon team was lucky to advance and if it wasn’t an insane shooting night they would be out. Can they have a shooting night like that again? I say no as Utah has held 6 of it’s last 8 opponents to 42% or less from the field. Utah is 7-1 ATS their last 8 Games with the lone point spread loss was a win and no cover against Colorado the game immediately following their big win over Arizona. Wrong team is favored in my opinion as I have Utah winning by 6-8 points here.

3-Unit Play. #730. Take Dayton -2.5 over St. Josephs (Saturday @ 1:30pm est)
First selection is Dayton here against St. Josephs. Note, that Dayton lost by 9 points earlier this year on the road to St. Josephs. This is an opportunity for Archie Miller's team not to overlook St. Joseph's this time around and likely step up for a big win here in the conference tournament. This is why this team despite losing by nearly 10 to St. Joseph's is favored in this game as Dayton is is a top 60 power ranking team and a top 15 defensive team as well. St. Joseph's is outside the top 260 in effective field goal percentage. Look for Dayton to step up here with revenge and likely step up here this afternoon for a decent win.

3-Unit Play. #727. Take Georgia +11 over Kentucky (Saturday @ 3:30pm est)
Georgia is a very feisty team. We sit at $5200 on the year and the Georgia selection means something here as if it clicks, we could be in for a very big day. We like that Kentucky routed Alabama and this is a huge let down spot for Kentucky, plus Georgia has massive revenge having lost to Kentucky 82-48 on the road and now it's an opportunity for Coach Fox to get his boys up and ready to go in what should be a very competitive and physical contest. Georgia will no go down quietly and getting them as a double-digit favorite with this much revenge sets up nicely for them. Georgia with big revenge, Kentucky with a let down and Georgia understands that a win here and this team could very well win a at large bid and that alone will dictate a great amount of focus for this team coming into this game.

3-Unit Play. #737. Take Old Dominion -2.5 over Middle Tennesse State (Saturday @ 2:30pme est)
ODU is 12-6 in conference play but take a closer look and you will see that they were 3-4 in conference play at one point. This is a nice spot here for ODU to step up with revenge against MTSU, a team that is top 5 in the country in turnover margin and who turned their season around - or got it together at the right point in the season. MTSU is outside the top 180 in effective field goal percentage and ODU is in a nice spot here for a solid win.

4-Unit Play. #739. Take Connecticut -2 over Temple (Saturday @ 3pm est)
Connecticut had an unbelievable game against Cincinnati and this team has a flare for the theatrics and this includes their own national championship under Kevin Ollie. Connecticut is a team that can surprise and in a way Ollie is like a junior Brad Stephens in his strong belief in metrics. Connecticut has a huge deal of revenge here, decent public fade and this team continues to play very well against pressure. Note, that UConn is a top 15 defensive team and most of all is the #1 free throw shooting team in America as well. Connecticut likely gets it done here.

3-Unit Play. #741. Take Under 142.5 Tulane vs. Memphis (Saturday @ 5:30pm est)
Our final selection here is for Tulane and Memphis to likely go under the posted total. A few things here as the last time these two teams got together it went into a couple overtimes and went well over the posted total. With Memphis having a great deal of revenge against Tulane - likely covering - it's hard to believe that this team is not going to get up and not overlook Tulane this time around. Hence, we roll with the favorite indirectly but taking the Under as well. We also think Tulane has a let down from their previous game and big win and Memphis is notorious for playing solid defense after losing to a team they should have never lost to. We roll with the Under as it likely gets to the mid 130's here.
