Kentucky will be looking for some revenge here after losing to Texas A&M in Overtime earlier this season. In fact that was the Wildcats last SU loss so they will be very ready for some payback here. Kentucky’s organization will be much better prepared in a title winning situation here. Take the Wildcats. Thank you and good luck.
4-Unit Play. Take #4* Columbus (+135)over Tampa Bay (3:05) p.m., Sunday, Mar. 13)
Tampa Bay is 7-3 in their last ten games but has now lost 3 straight and the offensive struggles seen earlier in the season seem to be happening again. The team is averaging 1 goal over their last three games while playing subpar defenses. They had a 4-2 loss in Philly, 1-0 loss to Boston and a 3-1 loss to Philly at home. Prior to the skid the Lightning were averaging close to 4 goals per game and playing better than anyone. But this Columbus team has started playing better hockey and has only lost back to back games once sense January. The Blue Jackets are 6-1 after playing on one day of rest and 4-1 in their last 5 home games. They played a really tough game against Pittsburgh the other night and if Bobrovski wasn't so rusty they would have picked up another at home. I like the value at home in this pick.
5-Unit Play. Take #5 Toronto (+180) over Detroit (7:35) p.m., Sunday, Mar. 13)
Whether anyone wants to admit it or not the Maple Leafs come into every game and give 100 percent. The team is 2-8 over their last 10 games but have only lost by more than one goal twice over those 8. Back in November the two teams met and Detroit won in OT 2-1. With Detroit not playing well over their last three games and atrocious 0-7 record after playing on zero days of rest the Maple Leafs have a good chance to surprise everyone in Detroit tonight.
