ML 720 Arizona (-130) William Hill vs 719 Wichita St double-dime bet
Analysis:Again, I'll lay the juice so I know if the Cats win the game they get the money. Never easy to go against VanVleet & Baker of Wichita State, one of the most fun back courts in College Hoops the past four y “ears. After a tough game against Vandy in the play in game at Dayton, the Shockers left for Providence to try and get set to play Sean Miller's Wildcats.
While this is a young squad for Miller, he does have a strong veteran presence in the paint with Kaleb Tarczewski & Dusan Ristic. Vandy played the Shockers tooth & nail in Dayton as it was a 50-48 game with 7 minutes left. Outscored 20-2 to close the game makes it look like a blow out which it was not for 33 minutes. The difference between the two big men for Vanderbilt ( Fisher-Davis & Kornet ) and Arizona's big duo is that Tarczewski & Ristic stay in the paint. Vandy's big guys wander outside and when they don't hit their 3's like they didn't vs. the Shockers, the Commodores are in trouble.
Gabe York canned 96 triples for the Cats at a 43% clip and needs to be dialed in...he has some of the best range in the country. Allonzo Trier & Kadeem Allen need to be locked in defensively on VanVleet & Baker and when Frankamp is on the floor, his defender cannot leave him and can't allow any open looks between 20-24 feet because like York for AZ, the Kansas transfer has great range as Vandy found out late on Tuesday night. Looking for Tarczewski to have a big game and get Anton Grady in foul trouble as the game moves into the last ten minutes. Should be one of the best games of the day!
