Inner Circle--Wisconsin + Things could get rough on Sunday. They''re big, they''re physical, they''re deep and they can roll a lot of bodies and bruise it up. That refers to Xavier in the paint and Wisconsin at every position all over the hardwood. They defeated Pitt Friday while scoring just 47 points. They dictated the game. Xavier will get the ultimate test in physical basketball. We think pace does pay a role for this contest as Wisconsin likes to slow the ball down and put a beating on you. The Badgers have a certain pace they go with and it doesn''t matter what the other team wants to do. Defying physics, mathematics and normal basketball, Wisconsin broke free for a whooping two fast-break points choosing to slow it down. It''s about getting stops. So break out the bandages, pack the ice packs and prepare to watch a contact sport on wood as Wisconsin get a hard earned win.

Pinnacle--Stephen Austin + **March Madness Underdog of YearNotre Dame is set to be somewhat embarrassed with a loss here. This will be a very difficult and different type of game. The pressure is all on the Fighting Irish. Inconsistency has been ND’s Achilles heel this year, while Stephen F. Austin has been the picture of consistency. It really shows on the defensive end. The Lumberjacks have been this route before and play fearless and loose basketball. Forward Thomas Walkup can do it all. He can run the SFA offense, he knocks down the big shot and he has the strength to battle any and everyone. Forward Clide Geffrard Jr. battles going to the bucket, but he also can stretch the floor and keep opponents honest. The Irish have not been at their best after a victory in recent spots. They’ve gone just 1-3 both straight up and against the spread in their last four games after a win in their previous game. That''''s the inconsistency or complacency that we''''re referring. The key for SFA will be for guard Ty Charlesto take care of the ball and not allow easy baskets on the other end. The Lumberjacks’ defense can clamp down, and few teams play with more heart.

7-Unit Play. Take #720 Texas A&M -6.5 over UNI (Sunday, March 20th at 7:45 p.m.)
My spreadsheet has A&M winning this game by a final score of 85-68. The key components in this matchup are overall talent, recent form and motivation.
A&M has a very good basketball team. It is taking Vegas a bit of time to catch up with this team and I, for one, am glad that is the case. They dismantled an extremely overmatched Green Bay team in round one and I look for a similar result tonight vs. a similarly mismatched team. Granted, UNI is a better team than Green Bay but they simply don't have the athletes or the overall team ability to match-up with A&M. The Aggies have guys who can flat out score the basketball and they play with emotion on the interior lead by Tyler Davis. This team took Kentucky to the brink in the SEC Title game and beat UK in the regular season. Kentucky isn't as good as they have been in the past but they still possess a great backcourt and a ton of athletes -- UNI does not. Northern Iowa can certainly keep this game close for a while but the talent and grit of this A&M team will be too much for them in the end. The Aggies are a team to keep a close eye on next weekend during the sweet 16 and possibly the elite 8. But for now, I will gladly lay the low number vs. an outmatched UNI team.
