My spreadsheet has St Mary's winning this game by a final score of 67-65. The key components in this matchup are overall talent and guard play
I love the way St Mary's matches up with Valpo. St Mary's has very good guard play and they are lead by Emmett Naar. He can score the basketball and he has a very high basketball IQ. He can penetrate and kick or shoot the outside shot. He will be a tough matchup for the Valpo defenders. Valpo had problems with GB a couple of times this year and St Mary's is a lot better team than GB. The reason I bring up GB is because St Mary's and GB do have some similarities. However, St Mary's has much the better athletes and it will show in tonight's matchup.

Take Valparaiso -4 over St. Mary's (CA) (Tuesday @ 7pm est) (You can find -3.5 at Sportsbook, if you wait on this line, this will be similar to Stephen Austin PK over Notre Dame where many, many clients picked up the win but we had to take the loss. It's ok, client experience and satisfaction si what is important. Just wait on this and you could even get -3 or -2.5 by gametime. We will still grade it at -4).
We have worked hard as we can in March Madness as we sit at 13-5 (+$2600) and we look to do even better. But, if you have enjoyed March Madness and College Basketball wait until Baseball Season which starts on April 3rd just 12 days away where we look to defend our title as the #1 Baseball Season in America going 103-65 (+$16,266) and +$20,200 over the last 2 years in back to back winning years including 7-Unit Future Under 92.5 Wins Washington Nationals and we look to do the same this year. 7-Unit Future out later this week.
Per this selection, with Valparaiso here as they hook up against St. Mary's. Valparaiso is favored despite St. Mary's being the higher ranked AP team. Regardless, we like Valpo here as we do not believe St. Mary's will be as strong on the road. This is a Mary's team that lost to top 55 BYU on the road by 11 points and to top 135 Pepperdine by 3 points. Note, that St. Mary's is outside the top 175 when it comes to free throw shooting and out of the top of the 110 when it comes to defense. Valparaiso is a top 45 team who has a top 15 defense which will be the difference maker here. This Valpo team put up 81 on a decent Florida State defense so they should do relatively well here against St. Mary's defense. Valpo is also a top 30 offensive rebounding team and is the same team that finished just 6 points shy of Oregon on the road which is impressive when you look at it at this juncture with Oregon in the Sweet 16. And, this is the same team that beat Iona 83-58 who is also a tourney team as well. Valparaiso given their stifling defense, decent crowd and decent public fade should be able to win by 8-10 points this evening - and also given St. Mary's struggles on the road as well should factor in as well.

6-Unit Play. #652. Take Over 210.5 Charlotte vs. Brooklyn (Tuesday @ 7:35pm est)

We roll with the Over here as these two teams hook up in what should be a relatively high scoring contest. Couple things here the least of which is that Charlotte comes off a monster win over San Antonio in a game they did not start off well and were simply pitiful. Then, this team came storming back and beat the Spurs at home in what was a huge public fade (and our comp selection as well which was Charlotte +6.5 and our secondary video which is just for youtube subscribers also provided many other additional winners as well). Per this selection, you have a Charlotte team that will be on a let down defensively after the big win, but offensively they will play very well simply because they were so poor on offense to start the game yesterday, plus you have a Brooklyn team that will show up big here after back to back double-digit losses and they will get up to face Jordan's team. Note, that this is why the line is so low to begin with - in a way, it is very similar to the Charlotte/San Antonio line of 6.5 and you have 6.5 points here once again and hence, once again, an active underdog is likely to happen. But, this active underdog is likely to go over. The Over is 4-0 for Charlotte coming off 0 days rest and the Over is 13-3 in their last 16 games at home as well. Hence, Charlotte let down after the big win defensively, but will bounce-back offensively after a poor start against the Spurs which they will look to avoid here and the Nets will be an active underdog likely here too which sets up for the Over.


Hockey GOTY

8-Unit Play. #66. Take Chicago -135 over Dallas (Tuesday @ 8:35pm est)

We roll with Chicago as our step-out today as it is our NHL GOTY. Note, that Chicago is a heavy public favorite today but we don't mind as in hockey we're not as concerend with public favorites as we might be with NBA or College Ball. Chicago is 45-24-5 this year and 24-10-2 at home for starters and they lost to Dallas earlier this year 2-5 on March 11th which has to think with them for 3 reasons. For starters, they gave up 5 goals, next a 3 goal differential and finally it was earlier this month so the loss is fresh. Though this team has been struggling lately, we do like the fac they lost to Minnesota in a game they never should have lost as -170 favorites. Dallas comes off back to back wins as favorites over the Islanders 3-0 and Tampa Bay 3-2 as well. This is a Dallas team that has not fared well as underdogs or small favorites of lately losing to Nashville 3-5 as +127 underdogs and losing to LA 2-5 as -110 favorites. Are we concerned that Chicago is a heavy public favorite, sure, but we believe the line is relatively low for Chicago because they have not been playing well lately but we like them to bounce-back here. Dallas is 1-4 against the Western Conference of late, 5-11 against teams with winning records and Chicago has been very strong this season at home.

The Blues seek to complete a 5 game road trip with a winning record tonight as they face-off against the Sharks in San Jose. Brian Elliot returned Saturday night with a dominating shutout victory over Vancouver and will look to get another start tonightagainst a team he hasn't fared well against. San Jose looks to stretch its season high home win streak to five and clinch a pacific division playoff berth with a win tonight. But considering San Jose has the worst record in the NHL at home this season (16-15-1-2) this may be tough against a Blues team firing on all cylinders right now. The Blues are 5-1 after their last 6 games following a win and they have the overall better team in this match-up. Look for the Blues to steal a win on the road tonight in San Jose.


2-Unit Play. Take #59 Anaheim (-165) over Montreal (7:35) p.m., Tuesday, Mar. 22)


The Ducks are playing like a Championship team right now. I don't think Montreal stands a chance even with them being at home. Look for a 4-1 stomping from Anaheim tonight.

The St. Louis Blues play their final game of a long road trip here. The Blues are an overvalued team all year long and will be so here as they have one of their goalies back from injury and he's coming off a good game last time out but I'm not buying it. This is a very tough spot here against a Sharks team who is very tough at home and who've outshot their last 6 foes overall as well.
