Opening Day in the MLB as we 2 Powerful Plays along with the Triple perfect system NCAAB Championship Side on TBS. MLB Comp play below
On Monday the MLB Comp play is on the under 7.5 runs in the Seattle at Texas game at 4:05 eastern. Solid pitching match here with Hamels for Texas and Felix Hernandez for the Mariners. In the series between these two 24 of the last 37 have stayed under including 13 of 17 here in Texas. Hernandez has pitched under in 6 of his last 8 road April starts and has allowed just 5 runs in 19 innings here in Texas of late. Hamels has allowed just 4 runs in 14 innings in his recent home starts vs Seattle. Look for a low scoring game here. On Monday we close out the NCAAB Season with a Triple perfect system play on TBS in the NCAAB Championship game. Opening Day MLB Power plays up tonight as well. Message to Jump on and start the week big in bases and Baskets. For the MLB Free pick. Play under 7.5 runs in the Seattle at Texas game. GC

3-unit Play Take #968 Cleveland Indians (+100)
over Boston Red Sox
(4:10pm EST)
The 2016 is finally here and we have an excellent matchup today in Cleveland to get things started. Aces David Price and Corey Kluber will toe the rubber for the Boston Red Sox and Cleveland Indians. This will be Price’s debut for the Red Sox after signing a 7-year, $217 million contract over the winter. There’s no question that he’s one of the best pitchers on the planet, and there’s no need to go over his resume. But his mound opponent is nearly just as good and gets nowhere near the amount of attention. Kluber has quickly developed himself into one of the best pitchers in the game over the last couple of seasons. He strikes out 10 batters per nine innings and his peripheral numbers support and ERA in the 2’s. Pitching in Cleveland has created a bit of an undervalued asset, but Kluber will be right there in the Cy Young race along Price all season long.
Both of these teams are being projected to have much better campaigns than last season and several experts have both teams atop of their respective divisions at season’s end. While I think that’s possible, I think Cleveland has a much better chance of making that happen. Cleveland has the pitching. Their problem in years’ past has been a subpar lineup and some shaky defense. The lineup is improved with the additions of veterans Mike Napoli, Juan Uribe and Rajai Davis. The defense also is going to improve substantially with a full season of Francisco Lindor at shortstop. The Tribe also has a healthy Yan Gomes behind the dish, and he’s one of the best in the game at his position when you take into account offense and defense. The outfield has questions, but I like what I’ve seen from rookie Tyler Naquin in the spring so far. Boston still has some chemistry questions with the likes of Pablo Sandoval and Hanley Ramirez clogging up the payroll. Sandoval is riding the bench with a near $100 million contract, and Hanley is going to switch to a brand new position in first base. Sure the Red Sox have a nice collection of young talent, but are they in the right kind of environment to thrive is the question. I think Boston manager John Farrell has his hands full with the amount of varying personalities on this team. They may figure it out, but I think it could take some time. I think the Indians are the better team right now, and they have a great shot at getting a home victory behind Kluber today.
4-unit Play Take Minnesota Twins/Baltimore Orioles – OVER 9
(3:05pm EST)
There aren’t too many people predicting good things this season for the Baltimore Orioles, but it’s not because of their offense. The O’s were third in the AL with 217 home runs last season and they added a couple of more boppers to the lineup in Mark Trumbo and Pedro Alvarez. The problem for Baltimore is going to be their pitching staff, and in particular the starting rotation. There’s literally no starter that can be counted on for the Orioles. Chris Tillman gets the ball for today’s opener and he was extremely shaky last year (4.99 ERA) and even worse this spring (7.24 ERA). He couldn’t locate the ball all spring and seems to be lacking confidence in his secondary pitches. The Twins offense is much more potent than it has been in recent years, with Miguel Sano and Byung-ho Park now every day players.
For Baltimore, they’ll lean on the offense heavily to carry them this season. That shouldn’t be a problem at home where the dimensions at Camden Yards are well-suited for their bevy of power hitters. Today they’ll face Twins starter Ervin Santana, who has been known to give up the home run ball in his career. The weather forecast is also for the wind to be blowing out at close to 15mph, so the pitchers certainly won’t be getting any favors on fly balls. We’ll take the OVER in a game that should feature a fair share of balls being deposited into the bleachers.
