7-Unit Play. #708. Take Sacramento -4.5 over Minnesota (Thursday @ 10:05pm est)
When Andrew Wiggins said that his team can beat anyone on any given night after the Warriors defeat, Chris Weber nearly laughed and fell out of his chair. He said, "congrats young fella, but hold on there". It's a team that feels that they have reached Mount Rushmore with their 26th win as they are 26-52 but you have to give Sam Mitchell and his boys credit for picking up that big win and being relative at a time of the year when they are not necessarily relevant right now without going to the playoffs. You have to give this team credit for that. Having said that, this team has been fickle on the road for quite some time. What the public remembers is the Golden State win. But, it's easy to get up for one game as this team did but imagine the Warirors havin to get up for every game as the defending champs as everyone gives them their best shot and an impending all time record at their feet as well which is added pressure. Minnesota lost by 10 to Dallas at home, by 13 to Utah on the road, by 20 to the Clippers and recently just beat this Kings team 113-104 on March 23rd. This is a big revenge game for Sacramento who has not quit on this season. This team is not interested in tanking right now because frankly this coaching staff wants to stay on board. This team has 31 wins and that is why Randive has not let go of Karl because this team has shown clear progress though it might not seem so. Sacramento remember beat Denver by 9 on the road outright as a big underdog (their former coach who still can't beat his former team), beat Washington at home by 9 points as only a 1.5 point underdog and buried the public, beat Dallas by 22 as a -2 point favorite and only lost to Miami by 6 points. This team has covered 6 of their last 7 and 8 of their last 10 to their credit. The Timberwolves are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games when they face teams with a winning percentage of less than 40% (meaning they don't step up to mediocre to less than mediocre teams, but get up to face very good teams such as the Warriors) and the Kings have done well against teams they are supposed to do well against as they are 4-0 ATS against a team with a straight up losing record.
