          3-Unit Play. Take #977 Houston (-125)
          over Milwaukee
          (8 p.m., Friday, April 8)
Normally I would worry about a letdown from the Astros after spending the week in New York City and then heading to Milwaukee. But Houston lost two of three in New York. And the fact is that no bet against Milwaukee is a bad bet. These guys are awful. Chase Anderson got lit up for five home runs this spring and he is facing a homer-happy Houston lineup. The Astros are going with savvy veteran Scott Feldman. He had a great season last year and was solid this spring. Carlos Gomez hasn’t gotten going yet for the Astros, but he’ll be motivated to knock around his old team. And with the lineup support he has the only way to play this one is on the Astros.

          3-Unit Play. Take #976 Seattle (-160)

          over Oakland
          (10 p.m., Friday, April 8)
I really like what I’ve seen from the Mariners so far in this young season. They have the look of a team that knows it is good enough to compete in the West. Oakland, on the other hand, is awful. They looked terrible losing two of three at home to a very mediocre White Sox team and I think it is going to be a long season for the A’s. I think they are going to go in full-blown tank mode this season and I see them as a 95-loss team. These two teams just have different mindsets. Oakland is trotting out Eric Surkamp, a random dude with a 6.50 career ERA that hasn’t started a game in the Majors in three years. Seattle is going with enigmatic Taijuan Walker. He was all over the map this spring, but he also struck out 23 guys in 22 innings while allowing just four walks. He has stuff for days and that should be enough here against the A’s.

          2-Unit Play. Take #957 St. Louis (-150)

          over Atlanta
          (7:30 p.m., Friday, April 8)
Here we have two winless teams. Who do you think is better equipped to get that first win? Me to. St. Louis didn’t play as bad as their 0-3 record looked against Pittsburgh. And hell, the Pirates are a team that nearly won 100 games last season. Atlanta is a team that will be closer to 100 losses than 100 wins this year. They have a young, untested starter going against a Cards lineup that is hungry to get that first W. Jaime Garcia was awesome last year, posting a 2.46 ERA in 20 starts. Guys only hit .214 against him this spring and I think he’ll be able to neutralize the only two real bats in the Atlanta offense, lefties Freddie Freeman and Nick Markakis. The Cards are the play.

          1-Unit Play. Take #954 Colorado (-135)

          over San Diego
          (4 p.m., Friday, April 8)
You really couldn’t have had two different starts to the season. Colorado scored 20 runs in three games while pulling some upsets in Arizona. San Diego hasn’t scored yet this year in three games. The Padres are going to score today. But not enough. The pitcher they are throwing out there, Colin Rea, is awful. He is not a Major League-caliber pitcher and he is throwing in Coors for the first time. The way the Rockies are hitting it should be a bloodbath and I can’t see this one as anything but a 9-6 or 8-4 type game.

          1-Unit Play. Take #952 New York Mets (-1.5, -115)

          over Philadelphia
          (1 p.m., Friday, April 8)
Philadelphia is a sad, sad team. The Mets always struggle against their rivals. But the tables have turned so much – the Mets are one of the best teams in baseball and the Phillies easily one of the worst – that New York won’t hesitate to kick their hated rivals while they are down. Jacob deGrom is outstanding, and he has beaten the Phillies in five straight starts. The Mets are 13-3 at home against the Phils and 36-15 in their last 51 games against Philadelphia. I see a low-scoring game but the Mets should take it 4-1.

          1-Unit Play. Take #959 Chicago Cubs (-140)

          over Arizona
          (9:40 p.m., Friday, April 8)
We pretty much have to take the Cubs until they lose. Arizona is not nearly as good as everyone thinks and they got bombed yesterday. I think Jason Hammel is better than people realize and he had a 6-to-1 strikeout-to-walk ratio this spring. The way the Cubs are hitting they should jump all over an overwhelmed Arizona staff – again – on their way to another win.

              5 Plays Today:

              3-Unit Play. #508. Take Detroit -5.5 over Washington (Friday @ 7:35pm est)
Huge revenge here for Detroit as they shot terribly the last time they played in Washington and lost 81-124 in the contest where they simply shot horribly. It was a terrible game for them and one that this team likely did not forget coming into this game as they have revenge at the Palace as they face Washington again. Detroit is 42-37 to their credit and will be heading to the playoffs this year after a great surge winning 7 of their last 10 games and its hard to think this team does not get up for a team who they lost to by 43 the last time they met.

              3-Unit Play. #509. Take Indiana -5 over Toronto (Friday @ 7:35pm est)

Toronto is resting their players likely in this game but more importantly you have an Indiana team that could really use this game which is why they are favored by a decent margin here. Plus, Indiana just routed Cleveland by 14 points, lost to this team in overtime last time out and has a great deal of revenge coming in. Plus, on top of all that, it's a decent public fade to boot. Public fade, Indiana needs this win and revenge set up nicely for Indiana here.

3-Unit Play. #520. Take Utah -12 over LA Clippers (Friday @ 9:05pm est)

Utah is only backed by 30% of the public here and they are heavy favorites because there will be no Chris Paul, no DeAndre Jordan or no Blake Griffin in this contest. With Houston nipping at Uath's heels for the final playoff spot, this is a nice spot here to take advantage of the Clippers' absence as they will have their starters in from start to finish and also take down the public as well and likely win this contest today. Utah comes off a 2 point loss to the Spurs, beat Phoenix by 15 on the road and beat the Lakers by 48 as well at home and as the Clippers send in their backups today, the Jazz should be at a clear advantage needing to win.

3-Unit Play. #517. Take Over 197 San Antonio vs. Denver (Friday @ 9:05pm est)

Regardless who plays today the Spurs did not play well against the Warriors and they will be motivated to play well here. No Aldridge or Leonard expected today but we do expect this Spurs offense to click relatively well. Note the Spurs beat this team 101-86 the last time they played them, but with the small line, Denver only scoring 86 points last time out against this team and giving up over a 100 points in their last 4 games, this total is a bit low here as we have it at likely over 200 this evening.

3-Unit Play. #503. Take Over 205.5 New York vs. Philadelphia (Friday @ 7:05pm est)

Finall, these two teams have nothing to lose as both these franchises are not going anywhere for the near future. This almost becomes a preseason game at this point and there will likely be plenty of offense and not as muh defense in this contest. Philadelphia is playing for a lot of pride as they did against New Orleans recently and has a great shot at winning outright. The Sixers lost to this team in double overtime last time and with revenge and likely as a good actie underdog, we like this game to likely go over the posted total this evening.

                7-Unit Play. Take 'Over' 183 L.A. Clippers at Utah (9 p.m., Friday, April 8)
I love that this total keeps going down. I fully understand that most of the Clippers are not playing tonight, which helps this total. The Jazz know that they can let down on the defensive end of the floor and win this game. They also know that no DeAndre Jordan and Blake Griffin in the post allows multiple opportuities at offensive rebounds and easy buckets. Utah is going to hit the 100 point mark tonight as even though it should be an easy game for them, everyone likes to score, and they will try and score every time. The Clippers meanwhile still have guys that can put the ball in the basket. Don't be surprised if Jamal Crawford goes off for 40 tonight. Do yourself a favor and look at the boxscore from the recent Clippers/Thunder game. Paul, Griffin, Jordan, and Reddick all sat out that game and the Clips still dropped 117 points. Yes, that game did have Austin Rivers and Jeff Green who are questionable tongiht, but Doc Rivers has said that neither player is dealing with an injury that is that bad. I see both playing tonight. The public will love the 'under' tonight do the the resting starters, but the 'over' is the sharp play.

                    3-Unit Play #501 Take Brooklyn +15 over Charlotte (7 p.m. EST, Friday)
Just think this is too many points for the Hornets to be laying here. Brooklyn has been an excellent bet as a big road dog this season and they are 13-7 ATS on the road against winning teams. This team has not played well lately but the lines are getting bigger and bigger and we thought this line should be closer to 12. Nic Batum has missed a couple games for the Hornets and he is a real glue guy for this team. Even though he is expected to be back tonight he probably won't be anywhere near 100%. The Hornets can't really move down in the playoff standings and they won't want to risk further injury for Batum and we just don't think this game is an urgent situation for Charlotte while the Nets have suffered some blowouts lately and we expect them to play hard and with some pride here. Brooklyn is 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings here and we think this line is a bit too large, thus creating value with the underdog. This one can be a blowout and we can still cash the ticket!

                    4-Unit Play #509 Take Indiana -5 over Toronto (7:30 p.m. EST, Friday)
This is a very possible first-round preview for the NBA Playoffs next weekend. Toronto is pretty much locked into the No. 2 seed and they have absolutely no motivation in this game. The Pacers are one of four teams fighting for the last two playoff spots in the east. They need to keep winning in order to secure their spot in the dance (they clinch with a win here) as well as to avoid Cleveland in Round 1 by falling to the No. 8 seed, and they are currently in the No. 7 position. Toronto is more focused on getting ready for the playoffs and you never know who will or won't suit up for this team tonight with nothing to play for and Indiana will be playing with the intensity of a playoff game. There is a reason this line is so large for the Pacers on the road against one of the best teams in the east, but we don't think it's large enough as the Raptors will probably not want to tip their hand to a potential first-round opponent and they probably don't care about winning this game much if at all.

                    3-Unit Play #515 Take Memphis/Dallas UNDER 192 (8:30 p.m. EST, Friday)
Pro bettors hit this total hard for the under overnight as it opened at 198. There is still nice value here, however, and we expect a very low-scoring game here. Dallas has won five straight and defense has been the reason. They have slowed down their play and upped the defensive pressure and they have not allowed more than 89 points in this winning streak. Their offensive totals are way down as well. This style has been working big time for them so why change things up here? Memphis is offensively challenged but this is still a very solid defensive team. This game is crucial for both teams as the Grizzlies need to avoid dropping to No. 6 in the west and avoid OKC for a more favorable matchup against the Clippers and Dallas hasn't even clinched yet and needs to keep winning in order to achieve that goal. We expect the defense to be great for both teams tonight in a low-scoring affair.

3 Unit Play. Take UNDER 2.5 -105 Kansas City at New York (7:00p.m., Saturday, April 9) (Graded after regulation time - 90min - plus injury time)
The Red Bulls are coming off a horrible 1-0 loss to New England on the road and in heir last 3 league losses the have scored 0 goals. Sporting KC is coming off a home loss to Real Salt Lake 2-1 and Saturday night I see both clubs playing outstanding defense.

                      SUNDAY ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE SOCCER

5 Unit Play. Take UNDER 2.5 -135 Leicester City at Sunderland (8:30a.m., Sunday, April 10) (Graded after regulation time - 90min - plus injury time)
Both teams come into this match trending UNDER games and if you are Leicester UNDER games have been pretty easy cashes. Leicester last 4 games all 4 of them have gone UNDER and they haven't given up a league goal since March 1. Sunderland is also a perfect 0-3 O/U in their last 3 games and I see both clubs trying to get ball possession. Would be shocked to see a club score 2 goals in this game and I see Leicester winning 1-0 on the road.

                      SATURDAY MAJOR LEAGUE SOCCER

5 Unit Play. Take Los Angeles Kings -115 over Portland (9:30a.m., Sunday, April 10) (Graded after regulation time - 90min - plus injury time - if the game ends in a DRAW we have a loser)
Last year in the last meeting between these two clubs Portland beat LA 5-2 and you figure LA will come back for this game with a chip on their shoulder. Last weekend on the road in Vancouver the Galaxy again were shutout on the road Drawing against Vancouver 0-0. LA has been dominating at home in their first two home games outscoring their opponents 7-2. LA is a perfect 2-0 this very young MLS season and Sunday night in the StubHub Center the Galaxy win another home game.

3 Unit Play Take #2 Buffalo -110 over Columbus (7:05pm est):

I like the way Buffalo has been playing of late and here at home this is a cheap price against an opponent who's worse than the Sabres. They have a chance here to make it their longest winning streak of the season and that should be the motivating reason for this team who like to end the season on a red hot run.

                            Take Buffalo here.
