You have to go back eight years to find a Toronto-Boston series at Fenway where they played three straight Unders. The first two games of this series went Under, but everything lines up on the OVER today.


I do not think much of either of today's starting pitchers, Toronto's Aaron Sanchez and Boston's Steven Wright. Sanchez rates as the better of the two, but both are very subpar. Facing a pair of offenses due to explode probably isn't the best scenario for either of these guys.


Both guys walk A LOT of batters, and both offenses are very good at drawing walks. Putting a bunch of extra men on base with these two potent offenses should mean quite a few crooked numbers on the scoreboard this afternoon.


The icing on the cake is today's home plate umpire, Lance Barksdale. Barksdale shows a HUGE bias to the OVER, including issuing more free passes than normal.


I know it's a day game after a night game, which usually means some guys get the day off. And that may very well be the case. But this series doesn't wrap up until tomorrow, when these two meet with an extra-early start time of 11:05 AM ET. I think it's just as likely that guys get tomorrow's game off. I'm not concerned either way. I have this game total lined at 11, a full two runs above the posted total. With two very subpar starting pitchers, a home plate umpire with a monster Over bias, the likelihood of a bunch of extra base runners, and two powerful offenses due to break out, I absolutely LOVE the probability of a ton of runs in this one. 5% MAX BET on the OVER.
