MIKE DAVIS
4-Unit Play. Take #911 St Louis +115
over Arizona
(Wednesday, April 27th at 9:40 p.m.)
It’s early in the season and we are still finding value in certain pitchers. Or, are we? Keuchel failed us last night as Seattle hit him hard in the middle innings. Having said that, we will continue to put our money in with pitchers with great pedigrees when the value is right. That is exactly what we have here tonight. Wainwright hasn’t pitched good at all this year. However, he has a championship pedigree and he is an underdog tonight. He has owned the DBacks in the past posting a 2.15 era vs. Arizona. His last start vs ‘Zona saw him pitch a 1-hit, complete game shutout. The Cardinals are a complete team with a lot of depth and they really hit the ball hard last night with eleven total hits and 8 earned runs. I can’t pass up the value of Wainwright vs. Arizona.
Take St Louis.

Rotation #575-576
Heat -6 over Hornets
The Hornets looked good in their home games to even up the series, but this series is all about the home court. The team at home limits turnovers which is all the difference in this series. The Heat shot 57% in both Game 1 and 2 and if they can duplicate that again tonight they will win with ease. We can’t look past the Hornets road struggles this year. Take the Heat.

Rotation #577-578
Trailblazers -2 over Clippers
No Paul and no Griffin for the Clippers. You can’t get to this point in the season without those two and expect to win the basketball game. Portland has a golden chance to advance in this series because of the Clipper injuries. If L.A can win without those two superstars then so be it. Take Portland.

Rotation #917-918
A’s -110 over Tigers
Gray/Verlander
Two elite pitchers get together today to face off except Verlander has lost a little bit of his stuff since his injuries and it seems like he may be on the decline at least until he gets right which could take until next season. The A’s also have a great bullpen so I don’t expect many runs for Detroit tonight. Take the A’s.
