4 Unit Play. Take #601 Minnesota Lynx +2.5 over Los Angeles Sparks (3:35 PM, Tuesday, June 21, NBA TV)
The Minnesota Lynx will look to extend their win streak to start the season to thirteen games when they hit the road to take on the Sparks at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA on Tuesday afternoon. The Lynx have posted a 7-2 ATS record in their last nine games where they faced a team from the Western Conference and they have posted an excellent 4-1 ATS record in their last five road games. The Sparks, on the other hand, have struggled a bit in the spot they are in here today as they have gone an awful 16-35-1 against the spread in their last 52 home games over the past few seasons. Throw in the fact that Minnesota has covered the number in five of their last seven games following a straight up win and we'll take the points with them here in a game that our numbers have them winning outright on Tuesday afternoon in Los Angeles.
4 Unit Play. Take #603/604 Phoenix Mercury vs. Dallas Wings Over 174 (8:00 PM, Tuesday, June 21, ESPN)
Two teams that have been trending to the over will meet when the Phoenix Mercury hit the road to take on the Dallas Wings at the College Park Center in Arlington, TX on Tuesday night. Phoenix has posted a 4-1 record to the over in their last five games where they faced a team from the Western Conference and they have gone over the total in five of their last seven games where they faced a team with a losing record. The Wings have been an over team as well in the spot they are in here tonight as they have posted a 6-2 record to the over in their last eight games following a straight up win and they have gone an excellent 19-7 to the over in their last 26 games where they played with two days of rest. Throw in the fact that Dallas has gone perfect 8-0 to the over in their last eight home games dating back to their days when the franchise was in Tulsa and that's where we'll have our play as we expect both teams to try and push the pace a bit on Tuesday night in Texas.
4 Unit Play. Take #605 San Antonio Stars +13.5 over Chicago Sky (8:00 PM, Tuesday, June 21)
The San Antonio Stars will look to break their small two game losing streak when they hit the road to take on the Chicago Sky at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, IL on Tuesday night. The Stars have posted a 4-1-1 ATS record in their last six games played on a Tuesday for whatever reason and they have gone an excellent 5-1-1 ATS in their last seven road games. The Sky, on the other hand, have struggled a bit in the spot they are in here tonight as they have gone just 4-9 ATS in their last thirteen games where they faced a team with a losing record and they have posted an awful 1-6-1 ATS record in their last eight games following a straight up loss. Throw in the fact that the Stars have gone 5-0 ATS in their last five road games against the Sky and 7-1 ATS in their last eight games overall and we'll take the points with them here in a game that we don't think they can win outright but our numbers have them keeping a bit closer than the odds makers do.

1-Unit Play. Take #951 San Francisco (-150) over Pittsburgh (7 p.m., Tuesday, June 21)
Johnny Cueto has gone 18-4 with a 2.13 ERA in his career against the Pirates. He has dominated this team and still has a chip on his shoulder whenever he throws here after what happened in the Wild Card Playoff here a few years ago. These two teams have been going in opposite directions and San Fran has a big edge today with Cueto going against a guy making his first MLB start.
7-Unit Play. Take #954 Miami (-1.5, -120) over Atlanta (7 p.m., Tuesday, June 21)
Our 5-Unit total loss last night was complete and utter bullshit. It happens. That's gambling. But it was bullshit nonetheless. There were five goddamn home runs - all solo shots. There were five double plays, all of which killed rallies. Colorado loaded the bases at one point and didn't score a single run. The two teams combined to go 1-for-13 with RISP, and this happens just a couple days after we lost a total in Houston when the two teams went a combined 1-for-17 with RISP. These are flukes. So I am not going to change anything up or alter anything because I know I am just getting unlucky over the past four or five days after putting together a really strong four-week run. As for this play, Jose Fernandez is going to dominate this crappy Atlanta lineup. Fernandez dominates GOOD MLB lineups full of actual MLB players. The Braves are basically a Triple-A team. Also, Giancarlo Stanton had two more hits yesterday. I have been saying: when this guy finally gets going this offense is going to be outstanding. He's getting there. And no one has really noticed but Miami is a hot team that is picking up steam. I will be betting them pretty steadily until people catch on. They should dominate this game and this one should be somewhere around 7-1.
2-Unit Play. Take #960 Detroit (-130) over Seattle (7 p.m., Tuesday, June 21)
Justin Verlander has been great over the last five or six weeks. I think he is going to keep that up and he gives the home team a nice edge over James Paxton. The Tigers lineup is set up to dominate left-handed pitching and I think that they will slap him around a bit today. The Tigers have the momentum after a wild comeback win last night. They are always great at home and I think this is a great price on Verlander in Motown.
1-Unit Play. Take #961 Chicago White Sox (+110) over Boston (7 p.m., Tuesday, June 21)
It is ridiculous that Chris Sale is an underdog here. Especially against Clay Buchholz. I know the Red Sox have been unreal in Fenway. But Sale is a different animal. I also like a 1-Unit Play on the 'Under' in this game and I think the White Sox are going to steal this game and go up 2-0 in this series.
1-Unit Play. Take #966 Houston (-160) over L.A. Angels (8 p.m., Tuesday, June 21)
Like Toronto and Miami, Houston is a team that is really picking up steam. I will almost blindly play them here over the next few weeks and look for them to keep winning big.
1-Unit Play. Take #972 Toronto (-1.5, +100) over Arizona (7 p.m., Tuesday, June 21) 1-Unit Play. Take #970 Baltimore (-1.5, -105) over San Diego (7 p.m., Tuesday, June 21) Today's Totals 1-Unit Play. Take 'Over' 9.0 L.A. Angels at Houston (8 p.m., Tuesday, June 21) Carpe diem. Good luck.
8-Unit Play. Take #951 San Francisco (-1.5, +115) over Pittsburgh (7 p.m., Tuesday, June 21)
I am using this as one of only three 8-Unit MLB Plays that I will release today. That is how much I like the Giants to win and win big today. I have been betting and winning big against the Pirates lately. And I plan on doing it again tonight after they pulled off a win yesterday. That loss by the Giants snapped an eight-game winning streak. But this team is still red hot. They have one of the best records in baseball over the last month and the Giants are 35-16 in their last 51 games overall. The Pirates have been the opposite. They are just 2-10 in their last 12 games and have been one of the worst teams in baseball over the last four weeks. The Pirates are just 1-5 following a win and they are starting a rookie minor league call-up in Wilfredo Boscan. Boston has only made five MLB appearances and has only thrown seven innings. This is his first ever start. The Giants are going with Johnny Cueto, who is one of the best and most proven pitchers in baseball. The Giants are 12-2 in his 14 starts this year and he has just a 1.00 WHIP and a 2.10 ERA. Cueto spent a lot of time in Cincinnati and he has dominated the Pirates, going 18-4 with a 2.13 ERA in his career against Pittsburgh. The Giants are 7-2 following a loss and 21-6 in their last 27 games against a team that's below .500. Cueto has won seven straight road starts and I think that he and the Giants will dominate again tonight. I have this one as a 6-2 winner for the road team.
7 Unit Play. Take #956 Chicago Cubs -130 over St. Louis (8:05p.m., Tuesday June 21)
Last night in the bottom of the 9th the Cubs pretty much gave away either a tie or a win but overall the Cubs lost 3-2 to the Cardinals. Tonight the Cubs get revenge and tonight I see the Cubs bats exploding against Adam Wainwright. Cubs starter Jason Hammel takes the mound and Hammel is coming off a road loss to the Nationals when Strasburg beat him and the Cubs 5-4. Hammel hasn't lost a game at home going 5-0 and his last home start he beat Arizona 5-3. The Cubs have dominated the NL Central and tonight I see Hammel outpitching Wainwright and again the Cubs bats will provide some early runs. St. Louis has dropped 5 out 6 games and the Rd Birds have dropped 7 out of 10 meetings. The Cubs are 6-0 after scoring 2 runs of less in their last game and the Cubs are 19-7 following a SU loss.
3-Unit Play. #958. Take LA Dodgers -117 over Washington (Tuesday @ 10:10pm est)
We roll with the Dodgers here against Washington as they come off a 4-1 win. Though we don't want to go against Washington who comes off a loss, but we like our sopt here with the Dodgers at home as they are starting to pick up steam. Sure, Washington has 43 wins but don't count out the Dodgers who have 39 wins to their credit and have won 4 straight games incuding 6 of 7 of their games. Though Roark has a great ERA do note that he has struggled against winning teams as they are 2-6 in their last 8 games when they face teams with a winning record, the Dodgers have done very well against the NL East as they are 6-2 against them over their last 8 games and have won their last 4 home games to boot. Combine that with the Nationals just 1-5 in their last 6 games against the Dodgers and this sets up for a decent public fade and a likely Dodgers win at home.
7-Unit Play. Take 'Over' 9.5 Colorado at NYY (Tuesday, June 21st at 7:05 p.m.)
I love this pitching matchup tonight in the hitter friendly Yankee Stadium. Bettis and Nova have both been horrible this season and both teams got good looks at both of these pitchers just a few days ago.
Bettis comes into this game with a 5-5 record and a 5.63 era. He actually pitched decent vs. the Yankees last week in Colorado but pitching in Yankee Stadium is a different animal. It was the first time most of these Yankees' hitters had ever faced him and I look for them to take what they learned and use it tonight at home. The Yankees have been fairly hot with the bats as of late as they scored 23 runs in a four game series vs. the Twins.
Nova was horrible in Colorado as the Rockies pounded out 10 hits and 5 earned runs in just 5.0 innings pitched. Overall, he is 5-4 with a 4.77 era. The Rockies have the ability to put up runs in bunches and facing a guy they just dominated last week should give them the confidence needed to do just that. The Rockies can pound homers in bunches and Yankee Stadium is no stranger to homeruns.
I look for this game to be high scoring and it wouldn't shock me to see this over hit very early in this game. Either team has the ability to cover this over without the help of the other team but I see a balanced attack from both offenses tonight. I'm looking for a 9-8 type score.
Take Over.
4-Unit Play. Take #967-977 Colorado/New York Yankees GAME TOTAL OVER 9.5 +100 (Tuesday, June 21 at 7:05 PM ET)
COL: Chad Bettis (5-5, 5.56)
NYY: Ivan Nova (5-4, 4.77)
Take Colorado/New York Yankees GAME TOTAL OVER as my 4-Unit MLB Smash for Tuesday night. This pick falls into one of my top MLB systems and I have this game flying over the posted total tonight. The Yankees have hit .314 as a team lifetime against Bettis, and Bettis has struggled this season with an ERA of 5.63 along with a WHIP of 1.46 over 14 starts. Bettis has especially struggled in night games with an ERA of 6.82 and opponents hitting .303 against him. The Rockies have hit .365 as a team lifetime against Nova over 52 at bats against him, and he has struggled big time lately with an ERA of 6.75 over 3 starts this month and opponents hitting .319 against him. The O/U is 9-1 for the Rockies in their last 10 games against an AL East opponent and the O/U is 4-1 for the Rockies in their last 5 inter-league games. Play the OVER with confidence
