6 Unit Play Take #962 Detroit -120 over Seattle (1:10pm est):
The Detroit Tigers hold a big edge over the Seattle Mariners in this one but it's not reflected at all in this line. Detroit goes for the four game sweep here in this one as Seattle looks like a tired team as it finishes up it's final game of a long ten game road trip here. The Tigers have been one of the best teams in baseball in the month of June with a 13-8 record while the Mariners have struggled at 6-15.
The Tigers go with former top 20 minor league prospect Daniel Norris here as it's his debut start this season for Detroit. Norris was expected to start the year in the Tigers rotation but got hurt in spring training. He struggled early on this season in his minor league starts when he returned from the injury but has been rock solid of late and posted one of the top K-BB numbers in the International League this year overall. The Tigers have been extra patient with Norris as they could have brought him back the past few weeks but instead really let him get into mid-season form which he is now with a 2.48 ERA in his last 6 starts. Norris faces a Seattle team who's not as good against lefties as they are right-handers giving Norris the edge in this match-up. The Tigers have also did good job with fixing their bullpen and have lots more talent there now and lead A.L. in FIP in June from relief corps.
Take Detroit here.
Thank you and good luck,
