7-Unit Play. #659. Take Washington +9.5 over Los Angeles (Sunday @ 7pm est)
We roll with Washington as the heavy underdog here for multiple reasons. The least of which is that this team will be highly motivated after being blownout by LA the last time they faced each other and it's a quality public fade here. Note, only 36% of the public backs Washington here but we do not care. Washington is a 9-10 team overall and a 5-4 team on the road and this team has big game potential as evidenced by their big win over Minnesota at home. Back on May 20th this team was not the same team that will be facing LA today as they lost 67-97 when LA was just 7 point favorites. Washington just lost as a 7 point favorite in their last game looking ahead to this game as they never should have lost to San Antonio on the road and that has to irk this team. Plus, though this team has its fair share of losses, it's hard to think that this team loses 3 straight - or at least loses 3 straight without putting up a quality fight here. LA comes off a big win against Indiana and we find it hard to believe that this taem is going to get up for a Washington squad who they have already beaten by 30 points earlier this year. Washington takes the early lead here likely, shows up in a big way and we like LA coming from behind and eventually winning by about 5 points this evening.

4-Unit Play. #901. Take Over 8 Washington vs. NY Mets (Sunday @ 1:10pm est)
We roll with the Over here as these two teams hook up in what is likely an over here. Bear in mind that those these two pitchers are very sound, we still like the Over here. Note, that Gonzalez has given up 18 runs over his last 4 starts including the fact that his team has lost 8 out of the last 10 contests that he has taken part in. Combine that with Matz giving up 22 hits and 11 runs, 4 homeruns and 4 walks over his last 3 starts spanning 16.2 innings. Hence, the line here is based on the historical track record and respect of these two pitchers rather than their current track record. We like this game to be a 6-4 final in favor of Washington, but more importantly, we like the Over.
4-Unit Play. #925. Take Seattle -110 over Kansas City (Sunday @ 2:15pm est)
Per this game, we like Seattle to get it done here over Kansas City. Few things here, Seattle starts a stud in Montgomery who has a 2.15 era for the season and this is a quality public fade to boot. He comes off a loss where he went 4 innings against Houston and fell short but he gets a great opportunity to get a start here and make an impression as he usually makes relief appearances. Given the public fade, given the fact that he will want to be a mainstay in this rotation for sometime, this will be a great spot for him to step up and help his team pick up the win. Gee is a very good pitcher but note that his era has gone up from 2.90 on May 20th to 4.05 currently. Let's roll with Seattle here for the likely 6-3 win.
