    Chatsworth Consortium

    # 3 ANNIESWESTERNCARD 7/2

    # 2 BESTJETYET 3/1

    # 7 TWIN B TENACIOUS 4/1

ANNIESWESTERNCARD has a great shot to take this race. Pace makes the race is a favorite saying of this brain trust. Pace markings here point to a bang-up play. Always excellent driver/conditioner pair. 26 percent winners when they team up to do work. Gingras will be looking to take the whole enchilada in this contest, has been real tough recently. Win percentage this last month is a sparkling 21. BESTJETYET - High winning stat makes this entrant an excellent play to take home the dough. Harness players love to play the driver of this gelding - really good win statistic in recent times. TWIN B TENACIOUS - He has been going to post admirably and the TrackMaster speed figs are among the best in the field of starters. The 92 average class rating may give this gelding a distinct edge in the group.

      # 3 MYSTORYNMSTIKNTOIT 2/1

      # 2 JON Q 9/5

      # 4 GIANTSTEPSBDANCING 4/1

MYSTORYNMSTIKNTOIT is my choice. Is worth taking a close look at and may be a wager - strong speed figs (78 average) at today's distance and surface as of late. Has a strong record at the distance and surface, which makes me have to support this gelding. This gelding has posted some nice finishing positions in his last several efforts. JON Q - Has respectable Equibase Class Figures relative to this group - worth a look. Demonstrates the look of a money-making play, averaging a solid 89 Equibase Speed Figure which is one of the most competitive in this group. GIANTSTEPSBDANCING - Has run solidly when running a dirt route race. In this field, this one is highly ranked earnings per start in dirt route events.

        # 8 OCEANICO 20/1

        # 4 PARTICIPANTE 5/2

        # 6 CAPOTERO 5/1

OCEANICO looks formidable to best this group of horses especially at a such a nice price. Will make a strong outing versus this field of horses. PARTICIPANTE - Has decent Equibase speed figs and has to be considered for a bet in this race. With a nice class rating average of 69, has one of the best class advantages in this group.

          Louisiana Downs - Race #2 - Post: 3:42pm - Claiming - 8.3 furlongs on the Dirt. Purse: $11,000 Class Rating: 60

          Rating: Golden DollarGolden DollarGolden Dollar

          #5 SWAY SPLENDID (ML=5/1)
          #6 STRING ATTACK (ML=12/1)
          #2 BAD TEMPTATION (ML=5/2)

SWAY SPLENDID - Was in a $12,500 Claiming race at Louisiana Downs in the last race. That race had a class rating of 72 and he is moving down right here in this race. A certain solid contender. STRING ATTACK - Smith drops him down to this level. You don't need too much more from the pp lines to think this horse has a good chance at this level. This gelding should find these state breds easier than what he faced in his last race on Jun 10th. Last ran at Louisiana Downs and finished fourth. Reviewing his PP data, I see he was close at the wire, within five of the winner. BAD TEMPTATION - This gelding faced open company last time out. Moving into a restricted state bred today. Is well worth a look. Gelding looks like the lone speed here. He may turn the race into a procession. He keeps getting closer at the finish with each and every start. Recent speed figures show powerful pattern of improvement.

          Vulnerable Contenders: #4 COUSHATTA MAN (ML=3/1), #8 STRETCH A MAN (ML=7/2), #3 JOE CHASE (ML=9/2),

COUSHATTA MAN - Difficult to keep stabbing at this sort of 'bridesmaid' horse. Tough for this closer horse to get up today. Without a hot pace to stir things up, the lone early speed is going to make it awfully hard to get the job done. STRETCH A MAN - No early speed in this group to help set-up his late kick. Hard to wager on this entrant out of the June 11th affair. Only faced maidens in that one. JOE CHASE - Awfully tough to play any horse that just won a Maiden Claimer, then steps up to face winners.

          STRAIGHT WAGERS:
Put your money on #5 SWAY SPLENDID on the nose if you can get odds of 4/1 or more

            #1 SWEET CORINNA (ML=6/1)
            #7 FEBRUARY ROSE (ML=8/1)

SWEET CORINNA - Faced tougher last race out at Belmont Park. Based on Equibase class figures, this is a weaker bunch, so I will put this animal on my list of contenders. Speed figures on the grass point to this thoroughbred as a legit contender. Has the best in the field for this dist-surf. FEBRUARY ROSE - Last two races were sprints. Longer races have to be her best game and she should be considered a play in this route. She got a decent rating the last time she tried this distance. This equine is tops in EPS (earnings per start). She looks strong in today's contest. Finished seventh at Woodbine last out. Was close at the end and at odds of 8/1 in this race, she looks like a possible contender.

Vulnerable Contenders: #4 CRAZY JANEY (ML=5/2), #8 PERFECT ELLA (ML=3/1), #2 CONQUER THE SKY (ML=4/1),

CRAZY JANEY - Hasn't been winning these days when made the chalk horse. Take a look at her record. When examining today's Equibase class figure, she will have to garner a much better speed rating than last out to battle in this turf route. PERFECT ELLA - This horse hasn't shown too much in the last couple races. CONQUER THE SKY - This horse hasn't shown too much in the last couple events.

Top HatGUEST COMMENTARY: The Turf Man - FEBRUARY ROSE - This steed, posting the top average class figure, figures to give these thoroughbreds a run for their money.

            STRAIGHT WAGERS:
Have to go with #1 SWEET CORINNA on the win end if we get at least 3/2 odds

                  Wednesday's six-pack

-- All nine starters for AL's All-Star team are age 27 or younger.

-- Arizona Cardinals are -4.5 over the Patriots in Week 1; a handicapping quandary, since Jimmy Garoppolo will be New England's quarterback.

-- Wil Myers' brother drilled him in the ribs with a pitch at the Home Run Derby.

-- Minnesota Timberwolves haven't made NBA playoffs since 2004.

-- NFL teams who travelled three time zones LY were 17-14-1 vs spread; 9-6-1 going from west to east, 8-8 going from east to west. .

-- Someone has to explain to me what this Pokeman stuff is. No freakin' idea.
