For Thursday, Top-Rated 1000♦ is Carolina and Denver to hold UNDER the posted total. At 7:30 am eastern time, the total for this game is 41 1/2 points in Vegas and offshore.
When Carolina met Denver in last February's Super Bowl, they had played Overs in both of their playoff games, and were 12-5-1 Over the total for the season. You all remember what happened next, Denver's vaunted defense stuffed Carolina in a body bag and held them to 10 total points as the Super Bowl wound up holding well Under the posted total.
With Denver starting a rookie quarterback in Trevor Siemian, the Broncos will need to rely on their defense again in this rematch of last year's Super Bowl reps.
Look for the Under to be the proper call on tonight's total, as the Broncos did go 5-2-1 Under at home during the regular season last year, and then played both postseason games at Sports Authority Field Under the total, as well as holding Under in the Super Bowl!
No doubt Carolina wishes revenge, but if they do get it, I say it comes in low-scoring fashion.
