Baylor Bears at Rice Owls
The Baylor Bears returned just five offensive starters but return the key players; QB Seth Russell, RB Shock Linwood and WR KD Cannon. As the Bears travel to Rice Stadium in Houston they enter the game as the same-size (-32.5) favorite that they were last year in Waco when the Bears destroyed the Owls 70-17. This is a Rice team that's playing its first home game after opening the season with a 46-14 loss to Western Kentucky followed by last week's 31-14 loss against Army. To put it bluntly, the Owls have been BAD. This isn’t your Art Briles’ Baylor team though, as they failed to cover against Northwestern State (55-7) and they have been extremely undisciplined and sloppy despite great offensive output; 14 penalties totaling 101 yards which has led to scenarios like last week when the Bears stuttered to just a 6-6 halftime score with SMU before eventually pulling away for a 40-13 win. The two teams haven’t met in Houston since 2010 and while the Bears are too much for the Owls, with Grobe at the helm in place of Briles there is just less pressure on the accelerator and the throat of opponents for that matter.

Arkansas State Red Wolves at Utah State Aggies
This is simply a game of unknowns and I will be the first to admit it. Arkansas State is normally a thorn in the side of every opponent but through two games this season that have put up little resistance. Utah State beat up on FCS Weber State 45-6 but then had the score flipped on them in a loss at USC 45-7. This is a game where rationality goes out of the window and sometimes you just go with your gut or look for answers elsewhere. Computers have this game ranging from 62-69 total points with the lowest end of that spectrum still a touchdown more than the Total. I use my computer to research not to spit out a score for me but there are those who do; Massey, Sagarin, Billingsley, etc… - Gather them all up and the gap is too hard to ignore.

Arizona State Sun Devils at UTSA Roadrunners
Those Sun Devils sure can score! Coming off a 66-point effort at home against Texas Tech which featured RB Kalen Ballage scoring a record eight touchdowns, they roll into San Antonio a bit too much for this Roadrunner squad who has yet to play a game that didn’t feature a fan yawning. This game is basically the same game being played up the road in Houston (Baylor at Rice) but with a much smaller line – I will bite.
