CHI-3
I KNOW Philly looked great last week bombing Cleveland.
However, we get a GREAT situation here, with the better team, AND the far more movitavated team (the Bears) at 0-1, facing 0-2 Armagedennon (NFL teams that start 0-2 only make the playoffs 12 percent of the time, and teams are well aware of this stat).
Rookie QB that didn't play weeks 2-4 in the preseason making a road start? Good luck with that.
I have seen this movie over and over, and I know the ending. Bears win by 10 here.Comment

NFL Game of the Year
8-Unit Play. #290. Take Chicago Bears -3 over Philadelphia Eagles (Monday @ 8:30pm est)
This game is extremely important to John Fox. You don't get to coach too long in the NFL these days as teams expect quick turnarounds and such is the case here for Chicago. You have to be impressed with Chicago in their first week regardless of the fact they lost to Houston late. This is a team that had a strong lead in the early going and simply fell short to a very well coached Houston team that made the necessary adjustments. You have to give Houston credit. But, they face a Philadelphia team that is a bit over-valued here coming off a big win against Cleveland. At the end of the day, it is Cleveland, a team that does not have a lot of talent and has been decimated over the off-season with quite a bit of talent leaving or currently suspended. This is a Bears team that played very well in Week 1 and is much improved. We like them to step up here against a young quarterback in Wentz who is likely in for a let down as he plays on Primetime and faces a very hungry Bears team who is looking to avoid going down 0-2 already this early in the season. This is a must win for Chicago frankly as they are in a very tough division and given the quality public fade, the Eagles soaring a bit too high given who they played in Week 1 and the Bears under valued here, we like Chicago for the win and a relatively comfortable win. The Eagles Defense finally gets tested here and the Bears defense will be on full display as they likely win this game comfortably. This will bring us to hopefully a 3-0 Run with 8-Unit Selections in the NFL as last year we went 9-1 with NFL Step-Outs of 7-Units or Higher.Comment

3-Unit Play. Take #290 Chicago (-3) over Philadelphia (8:30 p.m., Monday, September 19)
What a terrible Monday night game this is with two teams that will not make the playoffs and have little to offer the general public in terms of entertainment. Unfortunately they still have to play so in typical Philadelphia fashion the Eagles will come back to earth and be who we know they are in this one. The Eagles looked great in Week 1 against the Browns but it is the Browns and they stink. Carson Wentz looked ready and poised to be a star in Week 1 but he didn't have to play against a John Fox coached team and more importantly a John Fox lead defense. The Bears pissed away a bunch of opportunities last week against Houston and they will not be very good this season but they have more in terms of experience and talent than that of the Eagles so they should have little trouble getting a win in this one. This will most certainly be a sloppy game to start and probably be ugly throughout but the Bears will perplex Wentz and Philly will not be able to handle the tough spots they get put in. Take the Bears to win a slugfest 10-3.Comment
