2-Unit Play. Take 'Over' 9.5 Milwaukee at Texas (8 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 27)
These two combined for 12 runs yesterday and I think they can top that today. This is another system play, but even without it meeting my criteria this play sets up well just on its face. Both pitchers have struggled mightily, with Nelson posting a 5.82 ERA in his last three starts and A.J. Griffin sporting a 9.24 ERA in his last three. We also have two suspect bullpens backing them up. And Texas, in particular, likely won't burn their best relievers in a game like this. The Rangers are still in the running for home field advantage. But the Rangers haven't gotten many quality starts lately and haven't had an off day in weeks. To they are overtaxed in the back end. I think it is going to come back to haunt them. The Rangers have gone just 1-7 against the total in their last eight. But that is due to correct itself and I can see their offense breaking out. Play this one 'over'.
