Look, the 'under' has been the easy and obvious play so far in the postseason. Let's keep riding that trend. Washington isn't great against lefties. And both Rich Hill and Tanner Roark have had their moments of domination this season. Everyone knows playoff games are generally more low-scoring and we'll just play the obvious here, especially after yesterday's game in this series went 'over'. The 'under' is 14-6 when the Dodgers play after a win and 11-3 when the Nationals play after a loss. The 'under' is 12-3 in Roark's last 15 starts against a team with a winning record. The last four in this series have gone 'over' so I think we are due for one to go the other way.

2-Unit Play. Take 'Under' 7.5 Los Angeles at Washington (4 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 8)

I think that this will be a lower-scoring game today. These two teams went 'over' against the aces yesterday. I think that the lineups will have a letdown against two very different types of pitchers today. The Dodgers are going with Rich Hill, who has a 1.83 ERA and a 0.79 WHIP in his six starts for the Dodgers. He was excellent with the A's earlier this year as well and has had a very strong year. Tanner Roark had a breakout season. The young righty has just a 2.83 ERA on the season. The 'under' is 5-1 in Hill's starts and the 'under' is 6-1 in Roark's last seven starts. The 'under' is also 12-3 when Roark starts against a team that is above .500. I am playing this one 'under'.

4 Unit Play. Take #960 Washington Nationals +110 over Los Angeles Dodgers (4:05 PM, Saturday, October 8, FS1)

The Washington Nationals will look to even their NL Divisional Series with the Los Angeles Dodgers at one when the two teams meet at Nationals Park in Washington, DC on Saturday afternoon. Tanner Roark (16-10, 2.83 ERA, 1.17 WHIP) will get the start for the Nationals and he will be opposed by Rich Hill (3-2, 1.89 ERA, 0.79 WHIP), who is scheduled to get the call on the hill for the Dodgers. Washington has posted a perfect 5-0 record in their last five games following a loss and they have gone an excellent 9-3 in Roark's last twelve starts. The Dodgers, on the other hand, have struggled a bit in the spot they are in here today as they have gone just 2-5 in their last seven games overall and they have lost seven of their last nine playoff road games dating back to the 2014 season. Throw in the fact that the Nats have had some success against teams from the NL West with Roark on the hill, going 8-3 in their last eleven and we'll take them at the small underdog price to get the home win in a game that is really a must win for them on Saturday afternoon in DC.

4 Unit Play. Take #961/962 San Francisco Giants vs. Chicago Cubs Over 7 -120 (8:05 PM, Saturday, October 8, FS1)

Two teams that have been trending to the over will meet when the San Francisco Giants take on the Cubs at Wrigley Field in Chicago, IL in Game 2 of their NL Divisional Series. Jeff Samardzija (12-11, 3.81 ERA, 1.20 WHIP) will get the start for the Giants and he will be opposed by Kyle Hendricks (16-8, 2.13 ERA, 0.98 WHIP), who is scheduled to get the start for the Cubs. San Francisco has posted a 5-2 record to the over in their last seven road playoff games where they faced a right handed starter and they have gone 3-1-1 to the over in Samardzija's last five starts where he faced a team from the NL Central. The Cubs have been an over team as well in the spot they are in here tonight as they have gone 6-2 to the over in their last eight games overall and they have gone up and over the total in ten of their last thirteen playoff home games. Throw it the fact that the Cubs are also 4-1 to the over in their last five games where Hendricks faces a team from the NL West and that's where we'll have our play as our numbers have both teams putting runs on the board tonight on Chicago's North Side.
