The Eagles fumbled away an opportunity to be 4-0 after rallying from a miserable first half only to lose at Detroit last Sunday. They won't make the same mistake twice and come out comatose at Washington today.

Expect Philly to run the ball at will against a Washington defense that's allowing 130 yards (5.1 ypc) a game.


The Eagles defense was sluggish in the first half at Detroit, but once they woke up they got after Matthew Stafford, sacking him 4 times after intermission, raising their total to 14 in five games. I expect them to bring steady pressure against Kirk Cousins, who like Stafford has no consistent ground game to give him any offensive support.


The Redskins got hammered at home by the Steelers - who the Eagles handled easily in Week 3 - and got upset by the Cowboys to start the season 0-2. They then needed to rally from double digits down to beat the Giants on the road. Back home against they played poorly before stopping Cleveland and last week were lucky to survive at Baltimore. None of those 3 wins were that impressive.

Philly's loss has made this number more affordable. If the Eagles had won at Detroit they certainly would have been -4 1/2 instead. This price makes them a cheap chalk worth playing for sure.

I could not follow Thursday's 50 Dime Win on the Chargers and Friday's 20 Dime Win # 8 in a Row on the Indians with yet another winner on Saturday as 50 Dime Win # 23 of 35 failed as South Florida blew an early lead thanks to 4 turnovers and failed to cover at -20 in a 42-27 win over U.Conn.
