#731 3* Eastern Michigan +11.5/12 Pittsburgh 7 PM Playing against Pitt which goes from one of the slowest tempo teams to a regular offense under new HC Kevin Stallings. EMU with 4 starters back will challenge for the MAC title this season and have the guards to keep this close if not pull the upset.
#742 3* Southern Illinois -5.5 Wright St 8 PM
Playing against another new HC as Wright St will change schemes significantly playing an up-tempo style with many 3 pointers. While they were 10-22 on 3-pt shots in their scrimmage that was at home and in a scrimmage! New WSU HC Scott Nagy admitted it is a difficult offense to learn and it took almost half the season when he implemented it last at South Dakota St. SIU start 4 seniors (3 starters and an experienced back-up from LY) and I don’t understand how a veteran team that went 12-4 SU at home in the MVC is laying basically what I give them for their home court advantage
#745 3.5* ULL +9.5 Minnesota 8 PM
Minnesota is off an 8 win season and will most likely start 3 freshman although they tinkered with the lineup all summer trying to find the right combination. ULL has 23-22-19 wins the L3Y and LY faced Miami, Fl, Alabama and UCLA on the road losing to 3 teams all much better than Minnesota by 11 PPG. Seventh year HC Bob Marlin said his players had one of the best practices he’s ever seen before leaving on this road trip and they are also on the best rebounding teams (#13 in rebounding margin LY) which keeps you in many games.
