5-Unit Play. Take 'Over' 203.0 San Antonio at Milwaukee (8 p.m., Monday, Dec. 5)
This total is a little low and we should see some scoring here. The Bucks go nuts in their home gym and they have scored 112, 118 and 121 in recent home efforts. The Bucks have topped 100 points in four straight games and eight of their last 10, with the lone holdouts games against grinders like Orlando and Miami. San Antonio has played mucked up games against the Magic and the Mavs lately, depressing some of their scoring numbers. But the Spurs have gone 'over' in five of their last six road games and have scored at least 109 points in those five road games that went 'over'. The 'over' is actually 7-2 in San Antonio's last nine games overall. Milwaukee has been playing 'under' a bit lately, but htat's just because their totals have been jacked up. This one is not. The 'over' is 6-3 in the last nine meetings between these two teams and the Spurs hung 123 points on the Bucks in their last trip to Milwaukee. I see both teams breaking 100 tonight and this one should play 'over'.
3-Unit Play. Take #712 Chicago (-4) over Portland (8 p.m., Monday, December 5)
The Bulls need a bounce back game after laying an egg against Dallas on Saturday in a 107-82 loss. They did not show up in any aspect of the game and that can be an easy one to shake off if you get right back on the court and play like they are capable of. Portland has won two in a row but didn't play their best game last time out winning against the Heat 99-92 on Saturday. Both of these teams have rosters that can compete deep into Summer but will need to be more consistent on both ends to do so. The Bulls will have an edge to them after playing so poorly and the Blazers have yet to figure out their roster so take Chicago to pull away late 99-90.

They'll probably play but Andrew Luck and TY Hilton have been injured and were held to limited practices this week for the Indianapolis Colts. Jets coach Todd Bowles is sitting in the hot seat by continually starting Ryan Fitzpatrick so much is expected from his starting QB. This will be a performance based game for Fitzpatrick or young rookie QB Bryce Petty will come in. The Jets have done well in two wins against Luck and hope to duplicate those recent performances. In those meetings, Luck has completed 43 of 81 passes for 530 yards with one touchdown, five interceptions. He also has been sacked four times and has a career 52.0 passer rating against New York. The Colts have a very poor offensive line so Muhammad Wilkerson and Co. will be able to get to Luck on Monday night. Do not expect seasoned running back Frank Gore to possess much of an evening from the league’s fourth-ranked run defense either. Offensively will be different for New York. The Jets unveiled a safe approach last week for QB Ryan Fitzpatrick, who relied mostly on dump offs and short passes in the narrow loss to the Patriots. Expect more of the same this week and plenty of RB Matt Forte and RB Bilal Powell against a Colts defense that ranks among the worst in the NFL against the run. Forte and Powell had just 25 touches against the Patriots but should push for 40 on Monday night. We will see Jets WR Brandon Marshall who has 37 catches for 420 yards and four TD's in the last three games vs. the Colts. Jets QB Ryan Fitzpatrick passed for 269 yards and two TDs last week against the Patriots so maybe against a deficient Colts defense, he'll pull out the win saving his own job.Comment

The 3-8 Jets are assumed to be just playing out the final five games of the season, however, this just isn't the case. This is a December home game for New York and they are playing a club that is arguably the most overvalued club among the 32 NFL franchises. Backing the Colts or the Jets presents liabilities and both have holes in their units on both sides of the ball. However, the Jets are the superior defensive unit and while New York has been somewhat unreliable offensively they have their best matchup of the season tonight against a Colts stop unit that is incapable of being better than league average even when healthy.
While the team has labeled both CB Von Davis (groin) and LB Trent Cole (back) probable for tonight's D unit, both are not 100 percent and the conditions don't favor either being at their best or available full time in this December event on the upper East Coast.
Additionally, DE Rob Mathis and S Clayton Gethers are questionable for tonight and the current starters on the Colts defense are a group of players that would struggle to be starters on most NFL defense units.
The offense will see the return of Andrew Luck, who missed last week's game to head trauma and T.Y Hilton has been gimpy the entire season. He left last Sunday's event with a back issue and is listed as probable for tonight but he too is somewhat limited and doesn't figure to be a factor, and neither do the Colts as a whole, for that matter tonight against a good Jets defense.
The Jets will go with veteran QB Ryan Fitzpatrick tonight. While he has been up and down this season under his leadership the Jets offense figures to have one of their best performances of the season against a porous Colts defense, but up front and in the secondary. Center Nick Mangold is listed as a question mark for tonight but all reports have him dressing and starting in a game that the Jets not only should win but are motivated to do so.
Last week's loss for the Jets came with Fitz under center. He was, however, effective despite the team seemingly always playing catch-up versus the Pats. Fitz was 22 of 32 for 269 yards and two touchdowns.
This is one of the few moments this season that the J-E-T-S faithful will have fond memories of. This is a.... after all.....Monday Night Football home game. Scott Tolzien or Andrew Luck are both not worthy of support behind the current Colts offensive line and the Jets defensive front, with the home crowd noise (and it will be more than most believe despite the Jets records and position in the division) wiill dominate Indy in the trenches. The banged-up Indy O-line is as leaky as they come and part of Lucks injury issues come via their inability to protect. Luck has been sacked 35 times this season.
Ryan Fitzpatrick has a 26-to-11 touchdown-to-interception ratio at home during his career with the Jets and New York runs away and hides from a Colts team that isn't as talented or equipped to win football games, even at 5-6, as the 3-8 Jets.
