3-Unit Play. Take #708 Atlanta (-8) over Miami (7:30 p.m., Wednesday, December 7)
The Hawks started the season as hot as any team in the NBA and have since tanked horribly losing ten of their last eleven games so they need a win tonight. Good news for Atlanta fans is that they welcome the Heat with open arms tonight. Miami is ravaged by injuries and cannot stay with anyone right now so the Hawks should be in great shape to get out of their slump. They have changed their lineup by replacing Kyle Korver with Thabo Sfeolosha in hopes of getting back on track. This should be the best game the Hawks have played in weeks and it should also help them springboard towards forgetting this awful stretch of play. Take Atlanta to pull away in the second half and get a much needed win.
2-Unit Play. Take #712 New York (+7.5) over Cleveland (8 p.m., Wednesday, December 7)
New York is looking great right now and the offseason roster overhaul seems to have them headed towards a postseason birth. They have won four in a row and have been playing great on both ends of the floor so with the champs in town and Lebron playing in the Garden for the first time this season this should have a playoff fell in Manhattan. Clevelad had a mini slump last week losing two in a row but has been one of the best teams in the league this season but the Knicks have been rolling so this will be no easy win for the Cavs. Take the Cavs to win with better execution late but Melo and company will be right there until the final buzzer.
