We roll with the Under here as we believe that there are the undercurrents for a good under play regardless if Joel Embiid does play or not. We hope that he does but if he does not, regardless, we still think it likely goes under. Note, that 70% of the public is on the Over here and rightfully so as many think that this Philly team losing to Toronto 114-123 on December 14th and consequently they think that this game likely to have the same pace this time around. But, we think that this game is likely to go Under. Toronto gave up 61 points to Brooklyn in the first half of yesterday's game and the likely have a great deal of motivation to step up defensively here. Plus, this team gave up 114 points to Philadelphia in their last meeting as well and we like Toronto to step up here defensively consequently. Philadelphia has covered 8 of their last 10 games but at home, they have been strong defensively giving up 93 points to Charlotte, 97 against New York and 91 against Minnesota. We like the Under here as the public likely continues to hammer the Over here but we like the Under here. Note, the Under is 5-1 in their last 6 games following a straight up win and the Under is 6-1-1 in the last 8 games when playing on a day of rest as well for Philadelphia. We feel that this second time these two teams are meeting, the pace will be a more sluggish pace and consequetntly likely goes under.Comment
