7-Unit Play. Take #754 TCU (-2.5) over Texas Tech (9 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 7)
I definitely like the Horned Frogs here. First of all, this team has revenge after losing a tight game to the Red Raiders on the road on Jan. 18. TCU actually had the lead late in that game but gave it up over the final three minutes. The big story about that 75-69 loss, though, was the fact that Texas Tech shot 31 free throws to TCU's nine. That's some home cooking and I expect it to go the other way tonight. TCU also only shot 29.6 percent from 3-point range in that one, going 8-for-27. I expect that to differ this time as well. TCU is 9-4 ATS in its last 13 home games and Texas Tech has done jack on the road this year. TCU, on the other hand, has been excellent at home. The Horned Frogs beat in-state rival Texas on Saturday and Jamie Dixon's squad wants nothing more than a Texas two-step sweep over the more highly regarded programs. TCU is trying to establish itself and this game means a lot more to them than it does to the Red Raiders. I will take the motivated home team.
