ANALYSIS

Absolutely the wrong team is favored here.

Off a really bad home loss to an inferior Illinois team 68-61 the Wildcats went into Wisconsin catching +9 1/2 and they pulled off the outright upset 66-59.

Now, off the biggest win in school history, the Northwestern now has to get right back up and play another game with the same intensity.

Problem is they are facing perhaps the best road team in the Big Ten and to make matters worse, they have do to it without their leading scorer.

Scott Lindsay will miss his 4th game due to mononuclerosis and although a struggling Wisconsin team couldn't exploit that, Maryland will, just like Purdue and Illinois did.

This is a Terrapins team that is 6-1 both SU and ATS on the highway this year winning at Georgetown, Michigan, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota and Ohio State.

The only blemesh was a 70-64 loss at Penn State but who can blame them there: They just lost a devastating heartbreaker at home to Purdue 73-72 in a game they never should have lost.

They got back on track at home over Ohio State 86-77 covering the 7 1/2 number and they will handle their business today.

Look for the Terps to take Bryant McIntosh out of the game and with Lindsay out, it's going to be a long night for the home team here.

If you can't beat Illinois at home, you sure as hell am not going to do it against this Maryland team. Not as good on the road as they are.

The final nale in the coffin is the fact the road team is 4-0 ATS last 4 in this series and tonight it goes to 5.

This little doggy packs a big bite tonight in the midwest.
