2-Unit Play. Take #953 Chicago Cubs (-130) over Pittsburgh (7 p.m., Tuesday, April 25)
The Cubs are decimating people right now and they have revenge for a series sweep by the Pirates up in Wrigley last week. The Cubs have now scored 53 runs in their last six games (and 66 in their last 10) and I expect that to continue. Gerrit Cole has had a lot of success against the Cubs, but the Pirates are just 2-7 in his last nine outings and Pittsburgh just isn't the same team without Starling Marte.
5-Unit Play. Take #955 Atlanta (+115) over N.Y. Mets (7 p.m., Tuesday, April 25)
The Mets roster is just a shell right now. Yoenis Cespedes, Asdrubal Cabrera, Travis d'Arnaud, Lucas Duda, Wilmer Flores and David Wright are all likely out of this game. (The Mets may get Cespedes back but he is not 100 percent.) New York doesn't have enough depth to overcome all those losses. And they are just 1-8 in their last nine games. The Braves have lost six straight and already dropped the season opening series to the Mets. They are facing Syndergaard and Harvey in the next two games in this series so the Braves will have some urgency to snap their skid tonight. This is a great price on the much better pitcher, as Robert Gsellman has a 7.13 ERA for the Mets whereas Julio Teheran is an All-Star. Let's play the value.
1-Unit Play. Take #958 Milwaukee (-115) over Cincinnati (7 p.m., Tuesday, April 25)
The Reds pitching staff is a disaster. It is an absolutely disaster. And until they even pretend to start getting people out - they have allowed 60 runs in 10 games - they are a team to bet against.
1-Unit Play. Take #962 Arizona (-145) over San Diego (9:40 p.m., Tuesday, April 25)
2-Unit Play. Take #970 Boston (-115) over N.Y. Yankees (7 p.m., Tuesday, April 25)
I will go with the Red Sox in this series opener against the Yankees. I am not buying New York at all. I know they have won 10 of 13 games, but they have played a really easy schedule. I think Boston is going to be more motivated to get this first game of the series and their offense is due to snap out of their funk and start beating some people up. Louis Severino has still allowed 92 runs in his last 91 innings going back through last year and the Red Sox beat him up last year with 10 runs in 12 innings against him.

3-Unit Play. Take 'Over' 7.5 N.Y. Yankees at Boston (7 p.m., Tuesday, April 25)
2-Unit Play. Take 'Over' 7.0 Atlanta at N.Y. Mets (7 p.m., Tuesday, April 25)
3-Unit Play. Take #965 Houston (-120) over Cleveland (6 p.m., Tuesday, April 25)
I will take the favorite in this one. This game is a matchup of two top teams in the American League. Houston has the big advantage on the mound with Dallas Keuchel. He has just a 0.79 WHIP and a 0.96 ERA so far this season and the Astros are 3-1 in his starts. Josh Tomlin is going for Cleveland. He has a horrendous 11.68 ERA and I will be surprised if he does not end up on the disabled list soon. Houston has won 9 of 11 overall and they are on a 13-6 start to the season. I think it continues as they knock Tomlin out early again.
2-Unit Play. Take #973 Minnesota (-105) over Texas (8 p.m., Tuesday, April 25)
I will take the Twins in this one. They had a come from behind win in Texas last night. I think they will control this one from start to finish. The Twins have won six of the last seven in this series and the road team is 6-3 the last nine times they have played. Ervin Santana is Minnesota's ace and he has been outstanding so far this season, posting a 0.64 ERA and just a 0.61 WHIP. I think that will continue against a struggling Texas lineup. Santana has been too good to pass up at this price. Play the Twins.
4 Unit Play. Take #953/954 Chicago Cubs vs Pittsburgh Pirates Over 7.5 (7:05 PM, Tuesday, April 25)
Two teams that have been trending to the over will meet when the Chicago Cubs take on the Pirates at PNC Park in Pittsburgh, PA on Tuesday night. Kyle Hendricks (1-1, 6.19 ERA, 1.38 WHIP) will get the start for the Cubs and he will be opposed by Gerrit Cole (1-2, 4.70 ERA, 1.43 WHIP), who is scheduled to get the call on the hill for the Pirates. The Cubs have posted a perfect 4-0 record to the over in their last four road games where they faced a right-handed starter and they are a perfect 7-0 to the over in their last seven games overall. They have also gone up and over the number in thirteen of their last sixteen games when facing a pitcher with a WHIP of 1.30 or higher and they are 19-7-1 to the over in their last 27 games versus a NL Central Division rival. The Pirates have been an over team as well in the spot they are in here tonight as they have gone over the total in five of their last six home games and they are 8-3 to the over in Cole's last eleven starts going back to end of the 2016 season. Throw in the fact that these two teams have gone 11-4 to the over in their last fifteen head to head meetings and that's where we'll have our play as we expect both starters to struggle a bit in Pittsburgh on Tuesday night.
4 Unit Play. Take #959 Washington Nationals -115 over Colorado Rockies (8:40 PM, Tuesday, April 25)
The Washington Nationals will look to bounce back from their loss to the Colorado Rockies on Monday night when the two teams meet on Tuesday at Coors Field in Denver, CO. Joe Ross (1-0, 3.86 ERA, 1.00 WHIP) will get the start for the Nationals and he will be opposed by German Marquez, who will be making his season debut for the Rockies as he starts in place of the injured Jon Gray. The Nationals have posted a perfect 6-0 record in their last six road games where they faced a right-handed starter and they have gone an excellent 8-2 in their last ten Game #2's of a series. They are also a perfect 7-0 in their last seven games overall when facing a righty and they have won five of Ross' last seven starts where he faced a team with a winning record. Throw in the fact that they are an impressive 9-4 in his last thirteen starts overall and we'll take the Nats at the pickem or so price to get the road win in Denver on Tuesday night.
4 Unit Play. Take #962 Arizona Diamondbacks -145 over San Diego Padres (9:40 PM, Tuesday, April 25)
The Arizona Diamondbacks will look for their fourth win in their last five games when they take on the San Diego Padres at Chase Field in Phoenix, AZ on Tuesday night. Patrick Corbin (1-3, 3.27 ERA, 1.45 WHIP) will get the start for the Diamondbacks and he will be opposed by Clayton Richard (2-2, 3.04 ERA, 1.31 WHIP), who is scheduled to get the call on the hill for the Padres. Arizona has posted a perfect 7-0 record in their last seven home games where they faced a left-handed starter and they have gone an excellent 11-4 when facing a starter with a WHIP higher than 1.30. The Padres, on the other hand, have struggled a bit in the spot they are in here tonight as they have gone just 1-6 in their last seven games following a loss and they have lost eight of their last eleven games overall. Throw in the fact that the DBacks have gone a perfect 4-0 in their last four home games versus the Padres and 6-2 in the last eight head to head meetings between the two teams overall and we'll lay the price here with Arizona to get the home win in Phoenix on Tuesday night.
4 Unit Play. Take #965 Houston Astros -115 over Cleveland Indians (6:10 PM, Tuesday, April 25)
The Houston Astros will look for their fifth win in their last six games when they hit the road to take on the Indians at Progressive Field in Cleveland, OH on Tuesday night. Dallas Keuchel (3-0, 0.96 ERA, 0.79 WHIP) will get the start for the Astros and he will be opposed by Josh Tomlin (1-2, 11.68 ERA, 1.95 WHIP), who is scheduled to get the call on the hill for the Indians. Houston has posted a perfect 4-0 record in their last four road games where they faced a right-handed starter and they have gone an excellent 7-1 in their last eight games where they faced a starting pitcher with a WHIP higher than 1.30. The Indians, on the other hand, have struggled a bit in the spot they are in here tonight as they have lost five of their last six games versus a lefty starter and they are just 1-4 in their last five Game #1's of a series where Tomlin got the start. Throw in the fact that the Astros have gone 6-2 on the road this season while the Indians are just 2-6 at Progressive Field and we'll lay the small price here with Houston to get the road win in Cleveland on Tuesday night.
4 Unit Play. Take #972 Detroit Tigers +125 over Seattle Mariners (7:10 PM, Tuesday, April 25)
The Detroit Tigers will look for their third win in a row when they take on the Seattle Mariners at Comerica Park in Detroit, MI on Tuesday night. Jordan Zimmermann (1-1, 5.94 ERA, 1.50 WHIP) will get the start for the Tigers and he will be opposed by Felix Hernandez (2-1, 3.65 ERA, 1.38 WHIP), who is scheduled to get the call on the hill for the Mariners. Detroit has posted a 7-2 record in their last nine home games and they have gone an excellent 11-3 in their last fourteen games following an off day. They have also won six of their last seven home games following a road trip of seven days or more and they are a lights out 22-7 in their last 29 Game #1's of a series. The Mariners, on the other hand, have struggled a bit in the spot they are in here tonight as they have gone just 1-5 in their last six road games where they faced a right-handed starter and they are an awful 5-16 in their last 21 road games versus a team with a home winning % of .600 or higher. Throw in the fact that the Tigers are a perfect 4-0 in their last four home games versus the Mariners and we'll take them at the underdog price to get the home win in Detroit on Tuesday night.
