              Today's Totals

3-Unit Play. Take 'Under' 8.0 Cleveland at Detroit (7 p.m., Tuesday, May 2)

5-Unit Play. Take 'Under' 7.5 Colorado at San Diego (10 p.m., Tuesday, May 2)
              2-Unit Play. Take #913 Colorado (-105) over San Diego (10 p.m., Tuesday, May 2)

Tyler Chatwood has been brilliant in his career at San Diego. And over his last four starts in Petco Park he is sporting just a 1.31 ERA while allowing just four runs in over 27 innings. I think Chatwood is going to have his good stuff again here against a struggling San Diego lineup. Five straight and seven of nine in this series have gone 'under', with most of those coming in Coors Field. It should only be more difficult here in a pitcher's park. Trevor Cahill has had a resurgence for the Padres. His ERA is just 4.50. But he's been better than those numbers. He has 30 strikeouts in just 24 innings and a 3-to-1 K-to-BB ratio in this early season. He was great in his lone home start, giving up just one run to the Marlins in Petco on April 21. I think he can at least hold the fort here. Both teams have gone 'over' in 7 of 10 games and both had high-scoring weeks last week. But this looks like a time to buy the other way. I see a low-scoring game and I expect both starts to do some work here. I have this one at 4-1 and I will play 'under'.

              Carpe diem. Good luck.

                Allen Eastman MLB

ALLEN EASTMAN did it again! Eastman won another 7-Unit NBA Play (Cavaliers) on Monday and continues his devastating +$12,400 NBA run with a 7-Unit NBA Play Tuesday (7 p.m.). Eastman has nailed five of seven picks (+$1,600) and he is on a prolific 36-16 (69%) run over the past five weeks for +$5,300 in profit. Eastman has gone 15-7 (68%) on his last 22 pro hoops plays rated 5.0 or higher and he is looking to cash another big ticket today. Click BUY NOW to play along with the No. 1 NBA handicapper in the nation.

                7-Unit Play. Take #916 New York Yankees (-1.5, -105) over Toronto (7 p.m., Tuesday, May 2)

I think the Yankees are going to blow away the Blue Jays today. Toronto beat the Yankees badly in the series opener yesterday, winning 7-1. That now makes it four of five wins in the series for the Jays. But the Yankees will bounce back here. New York has been one of the top teams in baseball through the first month of the season and they have been great at home. The home team is 6-2 in this series and the Yankees have a big edge on the mound with Masahiro Tanaka on the mound. He has been brilliant with a 0.81 WHIP and 1.61 ERA in his last three starts. He has three straight quality starts and easily won both of his home starts. The Yankees are 54-25 in Tanaka's last 79 starts overall and 21-7 in his last 28 home starts. New York is 35-16 in their last 51 home games overall and they have gone 4-1 against the Blue Jays when Tanaka starts. I think the Yankees will get to Mat Latos early and they should win this one 6-2. Play the Yankees.

3 Unit Play. Take #909 Over 7.5 -110 Milwaukee at St. Louis (8:15p.m., Tuesday May 2)
Last night the Brew Crew took Game #1 of this 4-game series and the Brewers scored 7 runs on Cardinals pitching. The Brewers have been an OVER team as of late cashing 8 out of their last 9 games. The St. Louis Cardinals have also been trending OVER games and they come into this game cashing 7-straight over tickets. Cardinal's starter Carlos Martinez is 0-2, 1.78 WHIP, and 5.51 ERA in his last 3 starts and Martinez last two starts both went OVER the total. Brewers are 4-0 O/U last 4 road games and the Cardinals are 6-0 O/U in their last 6 home games.

4 Unit Play. Take #901/902 New York Mets vs Atlanta Braves Under 8.5 (7:35 PM, Tuesday, May 2)

Two teams that have been trending to the under will meet when the New York Mets take on the Braves at SunTrust Field in Atlanta, GA on Tuesday night. Matt Harvey (2-1, 4.25 ERA, 1.15 WHIP) will get the start for the Mets and he will be opposed by R.A. Dickey (2-2, 3.80 ERA, 1.39 WHIP), who is scheduled to get the call on the hill for the Braves. The Mets have posted a 5-1 record to the under when facing a that gave up five or more runs in their last game and they have that same 5-1 record to the under in his last six road starts. The Braves have been an under team as well in the spot they are in here tonight as they have gone 5-3 to the under in their last eight home games at their new stadium this season. Throw in the fact that the Mets are 7-2 to the under when Harvey starts against a team with a losing record and that's where we'll have our play as we expect runs to be at a premium in Atlanta on Tuesday night.

4 Unit Play. Take #903 Arizona Diamondbacks +125 over Washington Nationals (7:05 PM, Tuesday, May 2)

The Arizona Diamondbacks will look for back to back wins after dropping two straight to the Rockies when they hit the road to take on the Nationals at Nationals Park in Washington DC on Tuesday night. Taijuan Walker (3-1, 3.94 ERA, 1.15 WHIP) will get the start for the Diamondbacks and he will be opposed by Tanner Roark (3-0, 3.64 ERA, 1.18 WHIP), who is scheduled to get the call on the hill for the Nationals. Arizona has posted a 5-2 record in their last seven games when facing a team that scored five runs or more in their previous game and they are an excellent 13-5 in their last eighteen games versus a team that gave up five runs or more in their last game. They have also won seven of their last ten Game #1's of a series and they are 11-5 in their last sixteen where they faced a right-handed starter. Throw in the fact that the DBacks have also won four of Walker's last five starts and we'll take them at the underdog price to get the road win in DC on Tuesday night.

4 Unit Play. Take #907 Philadelphia Phillies +200 over Chicago Cubs (8:05 PM, Tuesday, May 2)

4 Unit Play. Take #907 Philadelphia Phillies +1.5 -115 over Chicago Cubs

The Philadelphia Phillies will look for back to back wins over the Cubs after their victory on Monday evening when the two teams meet again at Wrigley Field in Chicago, IL on Tuesday night. Jeremy Hellickson (4-0, 1.80 ERA, 0.80 WHIP) will get the start for the Phillies and he will be opposed by Jon Lester (0-1, 3.68 ERA, 1.43 WHIP), who is scheduled to get the call on the hill for the Cubs. The Phillies have posted a perfect 6-0 record in their last six games when they faced a starting pitcher with a WHIP of 1.30 or higher and they have gone an excellent 7-3 in their last ten games overall. The Cubs, on the other hand, have struggled a bit in the spot they are in here tonight as they have lost their last four home games when facing a team with a road winning % of .400 or lower and they come into the game tonight loses of four of their last five overall. Throw in the fact that the Phillies are 7-2 in Hellickson's last nine starts where he faced a team with a winning record and a perfect 5-0 in his last five starts overall and we'll take the Phillies on both the money line and the run line as we think they have a good chance to win this one outright in Chicago on Tuesday night.

4 Unit Play. Take #909/910 Milwaukee Brewers vs St Louis Cardinals Under 7.5 (8:15 PM, Tuesday, May 2)

Two teams that have been trending to the under will meet when the Milwaukee Brewers take on the Cardinals at Busch Stadium in St Louis, MO on Tuesday night. Wily Peralta (4-1, 5.19 ERA, 1.50 WHIP) will get the start for the Brewers and he will be opposed by Carlos Martinez (0-3, 4.71 ERA, 1.47 WHIP), who is scheduled to get the call on the hill for the Cardinals. The Brewers have posted a 6-1 record to the under in their last seven road games versus a team with a losing record and they have gone a perfect 5-0 to the under in Peralta's last five road starts. The Cardinals have been an under team as well in the spot they are in here tonight as they have stayed under the total in five of their last six home games when facing a team with a winning % of .500 or higher and they are an excellent 15-6-6 in Martinez's last 27 starts versus a NL Central Division over the past two plus seasons. Throw in the fact that these two teams have gone 5-1 to the under in their last six head to head meetings where Peralta started for the Brew Crew and that's where we'll have our play as we expect both teams to struggle to score runs in St Louis on Tuesday night.

4 Unit Play. Take #913/914 Colorado Rockies vs San Diego Padres Over 7.5 +100 (10:10 PM, Tuesday, May 2)

Two teams that have been trending to the over will meet when the Colorado Rockies hit the road to take on the Padres at Petco Park in San Diego, CA on Tuesday night. Tyler Chatwood (2-3, 4.88 ERA, 1.34 WHIP) will get the start for the Rockies and he will be opposed by Trevor Cahill (1-2, 4.50 ERA, 1.33 WHIP), who is scheduled to get the call on the hill for the Padres. Colorado has posted a perfect 4-0 record to the over in their last four games where they faced a right-handed starter and they are an excellent 9-4 to the over in their last thirteen Game #1's of a series where Chatwood was their starter. The Padres have been an over team as well in the spot they are in here tonight as they have gone up and over the number in seven of their last nine home games when facing a team with a road winning % of .600 or higher and they are 7-3-2 to the over in their last twelve home games overall. Throw in the fact that San Diego is 18-7-3 to the over in their last 28 games following an off day while the Rockies are 5-1 to the over in that same spot and that's where we'll have our play as we expect both teams to put runs on the board in San Diego on Tuesday night.

4 Unit Play. Take #915 Toronto Blue Jays +1.5 -115 over New York Yankees (7:05 PM, Tuesday, May 2)

The Toronto Blue Jays will look to extend their win streak to four games when they take on the Yankees at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, NY on Tuesday night. Mat Latos (0-0, 3.27 ERA, 1.45 WHIP) will get the start for the Blue Jays and he will be opposed by Masahiro Tanaka (3-1, 4.20 ERA, 1.27 WHIP), who is scheduled to get the call on the hill for the Yankees. Toronto has posted a 4-1 record in their last five road games when facing a team with a home winning % of .600 or higher and they have gone an excellent 5-2 in their last seven games played on a Tuesday for whatever reason. The Yankees, on the other hand, have struggled a bit in the spot they are in here tonight as they have lost four of their last five head to head meetings with Toronto. Throw in the fact that the Jays are 7-3 in their last ten games where they faced a right-handed starter and we'll take the 1.5 runs with them here in a game that we think they have a decent chance to win outright in New York on Tuesday night.

4 Unit Play. Take #917 Baltimore Orioles +215 over Boston Red Sox (7:10 PM, Tuesday, May 2)

4 Unit Play. Take #917 Baltimore Orioles +1.5 +100 over Boston Red Sox

The Baltimore Orioles will look for their third win in a row when they take on the Red Sox at Fenway Park in Boston, MA on Tuesday night. Alec Asher (1-0, 2.16 ERA, 0.84 WHIP) will get the start for the Orioles and he will be opposed by Chris Sale (1-2, 1.19 ERA, 0.77 WHIP), who is scheduled to get the call on the hill for the Red Sox. Baltimore has posted an 8-1 record in their last nine games following a game where they allowed two runs or less and they have gone an excellent 14-4 in their last eighteen Game #2's of a series. The Red Sox, on the other hand, have struggled a bit in the spot they are in here tonight as they have lost five of their last six games versus an AL East Division rival and they are an awful 1-6 in their last seven games when facing a team with a winning % of .600 or higher. Throw in the fact that the O's have gone 4-1 in their last five trips to Fenway Park and we'll take them on both the money line and the run line in a game that we think they have a good chance to win outright in Boston on Tuesday night.

4 Unit Play. Take #923 Oakland A's +125 over Minnesota Twins (8:10 PM, Tuesday, May 2)

The Oakland A's will look to get things back on track after losing six of their last seven games when they hit the road to take on the Twins at Target Field in Minneapolis, MN on Tuesday night. Sonny Gray (5-11, 5.69 ERA, 1.50 WHIP in 2016) will be making his first start of the season for the A's and he will be opposed by Ervin Santana (4-0, 0.77 ERA, 0.66 WHIP), who is scheduled to get the call on the hill for the Twins. Despite struggling for the last ten days or so, the A's have been pretty good in the spot they are in here tonight as they have won four of their last five games when facing a team that scored five runs or more in their previous game and they are an excellent 8-1 in their last nine games versus a team from the AL Central. The Twins, on the other hand, have struggled a bit in the spot they are in here tonight as they have gone just 2-6 in their last eight games following a win and they have lost six of their last seven home games. Throw in the fact that the A's have gone 19-7 in the last 26 head to head meetings between the two teams and we'll take them at the underdog price to get the road win in Minnesota on Tuesday night.

4 Unit Play. Take #928 Seattle Mariners -145 over Los Angeles Angels (10:10 PM, Tuesday, May 2)

The Seattle Mariners will look to break their small two game losing streak when they take on the Los Angeles Angels at Safeco Field in Seattle, WA on Tuesday night. James Paxton (3-0, 1.39 ERA, 0.84 WHIP) will get the start for the Mariners and he will be opposed by Matt Shoemaker (1-1, 4.72 ERA, 1.31 WHIP), who is scheduled to get the call on the hill for the Angeles. Seattle has posted a 5-1 record in their last six home games and they have gone an excellent 7-3 in their last ten home games where they faced a right-handed starter. The Angels, on the other hand, have struggled a bit in the spot they are in here tonight as they have lost eight of their last eleven road games and they are an awful 4-10 in Shoemaker's last fourteen road starts. Throw in the fact that the Mariners have won five of Paxton's last seven starts while the Angels have lost seven of their last nine road games versus a team with a losing record and we'll lay the small price here with the M's to get the home win in Seattle on Tuesday night.

4 Unit Play. Take #930 Miami Marlins -130 over Tampa Bay Rays (7:10 PM, Tuesday, May 2)

The Miami Marlins will look to bounce back from their loss to the Tampa Bay Rays on Monday night when the two teams meet at Marlins Park in Miami, FL on Tuesday evening. Edinson Volquez (0-3, 4.44 ERA, 1.68 WHIP) will get the start for the Marlins and he will be opposed by Alex Cobb (1-2, 4.66 ERA, 1.68 WHIP), who is scheduled to get the call on the hill for the Rays. Miami has posted a 4-1 record in their last five games where they faced a starting pitcher with a WHIP of 1.30 or higher and they have won four of their last five games played on a Tuesday night for whatever reason. The Rays, on the other hand, have struggled a bit in the spot they are in here tonight as they have gone just 2-5 in their last seven games when facing a pitcher with a WHIP of 1.30 or higher and they are an awful 3-10 in their last thirteen road games versus a team with a losing record. Throw in the fact that Tampa has lost four of their last five games versus a right-handed pitcher and that they are 0-4 in Cobb's last four starts overall and we'll lay the price here with the Marlins to get the home win in Miami on Tuesday night.

4 Unit Play. Take #943/944 Grand Salami Over 127 (Tuesday, May 2)

These are all your MLB Plays for today. Your next MLB update will be Wednesday, May 3, 2017.
