#904 ASA TOP PLAY ON 5* St Louis Cardinals Money Line (-120) over Colorado Rockies, Tuesday at 8:15 PM ET
The Rockies still have a winning record on the road this season but yesterday's ugly loss to open up this series at St Louis was truly nothing new. Colorado, after a rare red hot road start this year, has truly been slumping away from home for many weeks. In fact, the Rockies are now 3-14 in their last 17 road games. The bad news tonight is they'll face another challenging match-up here because the Cardinals rate a big starting pitching edge in this one. The Rockies will have Jon Gray toeing the rubber and it is truly amazing that Colorado has a 6-1 record in his starts this season because he has struggled often. Gray has a 6.19 ERA on the season and, unlike many Rockies pitchers, it's not due to inflated numbers at Coors Field. In fact, Gray has a 9.00 ERA in his 4 road starts this year! Only 1 of Gray's 4 road outings has been a quality start. Unlike Gray, Lance Lynn of the Cardinals has been at the other end of the spectrum. Lynn has pitched very well but yet he does not have the record that he should on the season. This is what is leading to a lot of line value here because the Cards right-hander has been particularly strong at home as he has a 2.66 ERA in St Louis this season. Overall, Lynn has been at his best of late as he has an amazing 0.47 ERA in his last 3 starts. The Cardinals are 9-4 in their last 13 home games. Bet St Louis on the money line in evening action Tuesday.
