Cincinnati plays host to the slumping Cardinals today. St. Louis has lost 3 of their last 4 games but more importantly they are struggling at the plate. St. Louis in it’s last 8 games has been held to 3 runs or less in 7 of the 8 games. In 4 of the 7 they were shutout or scored just one run. Tonight they face a Cincinnati team who has won 4 of their last 5 games. The Reds send Luis Castillo to the mound who is coming off a gem where he went 8 innings allowing just 1 run on the road at Miami. This will be the first time St Louis has faced Castillo giving him an added edge over the St. Louis hitters and the way they are hitting right now makes it even better. St. Louis has not fared well in division play as they are 18-28 while Cincinnati is 22-18 this year. My numbers have Cincinnati winning 6-3.
