My selection here is FIRST KOOL MOON. Padgett has this gelding travelling well and is a formidable pick based on the solid speed figures earned in short races recently. Vallejo has a win percentage of 17 over the last month. Padgett has him trained admirably to break speedily out of the starting gate. BP JESS FAST - Win percentage one of the top in this group. AMERICAN JOURNEY - Must be carefully examined based on the very good Equibase Speed Figure earned in the last outing. Handler has very strong win rate (24 percent) at this distance and surface.

Here in just the 4th running of this race which honorshonors the career of Summer Colony, a granddaughter of Mr. Prospector who raced in the 2002 Breeders' Cup Distaff, and also a winner of the Grade II La Canada Stakes at Santa Anita, #5 BLUE PRIZE, an Argentinian-bred entry, and a 6-1 shot, has hit the board in "POWER RUN FASHION" in five straight, including a "POWER RUN WI" in her 3rd race back. and will be adding blinkers this afternoon for the first time. As noted on previous occasions in the past, this subtle equipment change often produced noticeable speed boosts in their first applications. #2 GOING FOR BROKE, the morning line favorite, has hit the board in four of her last five outings, and comes off a "POWER RUN PLACE" finish in her last start, missing a "Circle Trip" in that race by just a "photographed neck" at the wire, in a race which was contested at today's TrackMaster PLUS Class Level of 104.
