The Astros have a lot going for them in this bounce back spot after blowing Saturday's game to the Angels, 7-6. Jose Altuve may be the best player in the American League and he's back in the lineup. So is catcher Brian McCann, who has nine homers in 73 career at bats against Ricky Nolasco. Nolasco, a career journeyman, opposes Charie Morton, who is having perhaps his finest season. The right-handed Nolasco's ERA is above 5.00. The Astros average just a shade under six runs per game versus righty starters. The Angels have lost seven of the past 10 times Nolasco has pitched at home. Houston has won 67 percent of its last 61 road contests. Morton is 2-0 lifetime versus the Angels with a 3.24 ERA in three starts. If Altuve isn't the best player in the American League than Mike Trout is Trout, however, is hitless in his last four games.

After a lackluster loss to the Jets to open the preseason, the Titans first teamers came out last week and put it to what should be a decent Carolina first team defensive unit. The Panthers had no answers for Marcus Mariota and the rest of the Titan offense and we are expecting more of the same against the Bears this week. Chicago also comes into the game at 1-1 but they are rebuilding and we don't expect them to be competitive here with the Titans. Throw in the fact that Mike Mularkey is 4-2 in his short time as the head coach in Tennessee and we'll lay the FG or so with them here to get the home win and cover on Sunday afternoon.

2 Unit Play. Take #280 Washington Redskins -3 over Cincinnati Bengals (4:30 PM, Sunday, August 27)
This should come as no shock to anyone but Marvin Lewis is terrible in games that matter. Now, one may say that no preseason game matters but everyone knows that the Week 3 game is the one that mist resembles a regular season game. What's Marvin's record in Week 3 in his career? Well, it's an awful 4-10. Jay Gruden, on the other hand, has fared well in this same spot, going 2-1 in his three years thus far in DC and he is 9-4 overall going back to the start of the 2014 preseason. Throw in the fact that the Skins are 0-2 here in 2017, losing to the Packers and Ravens in their first two games and we're going to lay the points with them here as we think they are the deeper team and that they will be the more motivated team on Sunday afternoon.

The Vikings were in a tough spot last week in heading to Seattle to face a coach that likes to win in the preseason almost as much as Mike Zimmer does. That being said, the Vikings are still 13-2 straight up in the preseason under Zimmer and they have covered the number in twelve of those fifteen games. This is another spot where we while we don't normally like to lay more than a FG in the preseason, we fell it's warranted here, especially when you add in that Zimmer and the Vikings are a perfect 3-0 in his Week 3 preseason games.
