The price has come down enough where there is solid value backing Madison Bumgarner at home against a cold Michael Wacha. Bumgarner has made nine starts since returning in mid-July from his shoulder injury. He's been more than solid with a 2.78 ERA. Wacha, on the other hand, really is struggling. He's lost three in a row, pitching five innings or fewer in four of his past five starts. The Cardinals are vulnerable at closer now, too, with Trevor Rosenthal done for the season. The Giants are expected to get back Buster Posey today after he missed the Padres series with a sprained thumb.

4-unit Play Take #968 Baltimore Orioles (-130) over Toronto Blue Jays (7:05pm EST) The Baltimore Orioles are in the playoff picture once again. I'm not sure how Buck Showalter does it, but there's no one that can touch him as far as getting more out of his players. The O's made a huge comeback yesterday after trailing 6-2, and now have won seven straight contests. They're just a game back of the Twins for the second wild card and 2.5 behind the Yankees for the top wild card. Tonight the Orioles start a series versus the Blue Jays. Toronto is in the cellar in the AL East and clearly looking beyond 2017. They are just 2-10 over their last 12 games. Baltimore doesn't really have an edge as far as the starting pitchers go today (Marco Estrada versus Jeremy Hellickson), but that's nothing new for the O's. They win games with their offense, defense and bullpen - and Buck! Baltimore has also dominated the competition in Camden Yards this season with a 41-26 mark. Play the O's tonight.
