7-Unit Play. #315. Take Northwestern -3 over Duke (Saturday @ 12pm est)
We roll with Northwestern here as they hook up against Duke in what is a revenge game for Duke however we still like Northwestern on this short line. Remember, Northwestern could not have played worse in their last game as heavy favorites to Nevada and ended up winning 31-20 in a game where they had to put forth a strong second half to finally pull away. Maybe this team was looking ahead but for a team returning as many starters as this team is returning on both sides of the ball it was a disappointment of a game which anyone in the coaching staff will tell you. Duke looked great against North Carolina Central in their opening but this is a team that is going to face a very competent defense here in Northwestern and a defense that is expected to do big things in a competitive Big10. It is the defense that is supposed to be the strength of this team frankly. We think we will see the Northwestern of the 2nd half of the Nevada game right out of the gates per this game. Remember, this is a Northwestern team that could very well win the Big 10 West. Duke does not have a lot of returning talent on defense with just 5 starters and that should make a big difference with the Northwestern offense looking sharp and therefore we like Northwestern from start to finish to do well here after a disappointing effort against Nevada.


5-Unit Play. #155. Take Alabama 43.5 over Fresno State (Saturday @ 3:30pm est)
With 2 Linebackers out if there is ever a game that Alabama will be wanting to show their prowess it will be after a game where a new offensive coordinator only put up 21 points and as Coach Saban has said in his press conference this team did not execute on offense and left a lot of poitns on the field. Look for Alabama to not give anything on defense as the newbies step up and look for this offense to light the scoreboard as Bama will be thrilled to be playing a home game in what has seemed like forever since this team has played a home game. The Tide are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 non-conference games and the Bulldogs are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 against the SEC.


3-Unit Play. #309. Take Western Michigan +7.5 over Michigan State (Saturday @ 3:30pm est)
We roll with Western Michigan here as they hook up against Michigan State in a game where we feel great pride that this team showed despite the fact they lost their coach to greener pastures in Minnesota. Western Michigan is not intimidated by Michigan State by any means after giving USC all they can handle in California. This is a well coached team, still chock full of talent and with Michigan State only removed from 3 wins from last year, we like WMU to put forth a great effort this weekend and look to avoid going 0-2 to start the season.
3-Unit Play. #311. Take Eastern Michigan +6 over Rutgers (Saturday @ 3:30pm est)
We like Eastern Michigan here as we simply feel that this offense is filled with talent and we like Rutgers on the hangover after the solid effort from the Rutgers game. Eastern Michigan has a lot of talent on defense as well and this is a game that means a lot more fro Eastern Michigan than it certainly does for Rutgers. Look for Eastern Michigan to be a solid undredog here and to possibly even upset Rutgers as at the end of the day, it's the defense that will keep this game close for EMU.


3-Unit Play. #400. Take Washington State -10 over Boise State (Saturday @ 10:30pm est)
Washington State lost to Boise State last year and will be furious from that loss and we like them to do well here. This is a State team that lost to Boise State last year and took a lot of heat for it as they started the season 0-2 and after winning 31-0 in their last game, they are still taking heat as it was not a blowout of epic proportions. This is a Washington State team that went on after that loss to Boise State to rout many teams in the Pac and this is a game where this team simply will not be able to wait for and the rout will be on Saturday Night.

3 Unit Play. Take #347 OVER 47 Tulane at Navy (3:30p.m., Saturday September 9 CBSC)
Both teams scored over 40 points last weekend and with Navy playing at home (Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium) we should see both teams scoring Saturday afternoon. Tulane QB Jonathan Banks has proven he can take the Green Wave to the next step and we saw that last weekend. Look for both offenses to score points in this game and if the Green Wave struggle on defense against Navy this game could get ugly quick. Navy is 8-1 O/U in their last 9 home games and the Midshipmen are 6-1 O/U against conference opponents.

4 Unit Play. Take #363 TCU -3 over Arkansas (3:30p.m., Saturday September 9 CBS)
Both teams had dominated wins last week as TCU won 63-0 and Arkansas won 49-7 but this game will not be a blowout victory. This game will be one of the best games on the tube this Saturday and I see TCU taking the road victory in Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. Arkansas had some bad losses last year including at home against LSU while the TCU Horned Frogs had great success on the road last beating Texas and Baylor. Arkansas will look to run the ball early but I see the TCU defense shutting that down in a hurry and the Horn Frogs will control the tempo of the game. Arkansas is 3-7 ATS against non-conference teams and the Razorbacks are 0-6 ATS following a SU win.

7 Unit Play. Take #398 Arizona +1.5 over Houston (10:30p.m., Saturday September 9 ESPNU)
The Houston Cougars will play their first game of the season because last weekend their games against UTSA was canceled because of Hurricane Harvey. The Arizona Wildcats opened their season with an easy winner against Northern Arizona 62-24 and Saturday night at home (Arizona Stadium) will look for back-to-back W's. If Houston can't stop the run game of the Wildcats then we should have no problem winning 2-straight 7-Unit plays and last weekend the Wildcats ran all over the field. For the Cougars side not only are they replacing their head coach from last year but duel threat QB Greg Ward Jr. is no longer in the huddle and that could cause problems for a team who hasn't played a real game yet this season. With Houston missing some key guys on both sides of the ball from last year's team and this game being on the road I see the Arizona Wildcats pulling off the win and I'm still shocked that this number continues to climb as this game opened up at a 'Pick'em'. The home underdog Wildcats get the victory and again we stay perfect with big unit College Football plays. Houston is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games against PAC-12 schools and the Arizona Wildcats 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a win 20 points or more.
