The week before last Jackson accounted for 512 yards of offense himself and the team still lost. They may face another challenge next week at Wake Forest, against a team that has shown it can play with good teams on a given Saturday. Wake Forest is 4-3 but has lost three straight in ACC play.

Jackson has passed for 2478 yards, 17 touchdowns, and five interceptions. He also leads the team in rushing with 868 yards and 11 more touchdowns. The next to runner for Louisville is Reggie Bonnafon who has 310.

Louisville is ninth in the nation in passing at 333 yards per game. The Cardinals are averaging 37 points per game and giving up 29.

Florida Atlantic (4-3, 3-0) is starting to roll with new head coach Lane Kiffin at the helm. In the last three weeks, the Owls have scored 38, 58 and 69 points to become one of two unbeaten Conference-USA teams. Last week against North Texas, they were fueled by 804 total yards of offense, including 447 yards on the ground and 9.3 yards per carry.

Sophomore running back Devin Singletary led the rushing attack with 123 yards on 17 carries and three touchdowns. Singletary has rushed for at least 100 yards in each of the last five games. He's found the end zone at least one in the last six games and has 14 touchdowns on the season.

Senior running back Gregory Howell Jr. is also having an effective season for Florida Atlantic. He's rushed for 473 yards and three touchdowns.


Western Kentucky (5-2, 3-1) is also playing good football. The Hilltoppers have won four-straight games and are one of five three-win teams in the league. They escaped Old Dominion last week with a 35-31 win despite being outscored 17-0 in the third quarter.

Against the Monarchs, senior quarterback Mike White had another all-time performance, with 24 of 34 passes completed for 304 yards and five touchdowns. In the last two weeks combined, White has thrown for 10 touchdowns with just one interception.

Despite losses in the last three weeks of play, Buffalo has played close games. The Bulls have lost by an average of less than five points per game. Last week, however, they went on the road and took a 10-point defeat against Miami-Ohio.

Junior wide receiver Anthony Johnson is having an amazing season for Buffalo. He has already amassed 49 receptions for 827 yards and six touchdowns. Johnson put up 195 yards against Western Michigan a few weeks back and followed that up with 140 yards against Northern Illinois. Junior wide receiver Kwadarrius Smith has been a good deep ball threat for Akron this year. He has 411 receiving yards and four touchdowns. In four games, Smith has reeled in a reception for more than 35 yards.
