When: 1:00 PM ET, Sunday, November 26, 2017
Where: Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City, Missouri

      Preview: Bills at Chiefs
      Gracenote
      Nov 23, 2017

After a disappointing loss last week, the Kansas City Chiefs have a chance to get back on track when they host the struggling Buffalo Bills on Sunday. Both teams are in the middle of the AFC playoff picture despite recent stumbles.

The Chiefs have lost two straight and four of their last five, most recently suffering a 12-9 overtime loss to the woeful New York Giants. The Chiefs still hold a two-game lead over Oakland and the Los Angeles Chargers in the AFC West, but their defense continues to have trouble and the offense has sputtered after a hot start. Buffalo still is in the running for a wild-card spot but has lost three straight, including back-to-back blowout setbacks against New Orleans and the Chargers. Coach Sean McDermott made the ill-advised move to bench quarterback Tyrod Taylor after the loss to the Saints, and Nathan Peterman threw five interceptions against Los Angeles in his first NFL start.

      TV: 1 p.m. ET, CBS. LINE: Chiefs -10. O/U: 46.5

ABOUT THE BILLS (5-5): Taylor takes back the reins of the Bills’ offense, which ranks 30th in passing but 11th in rushing. Taylor has thrown 11 touchdown passes and three interceptions, and he pairs with LeSean McCoy (709 rushing yards, four TDs) to form a dangerous ground game, but the Bills want to see him take more chances to open up the air attack. The bigger issue during the three-game skid has been defense’s inability to stop the run – the Bills have allowed 638 rushing yards in their last three games.

ABOUT THE CHIEFS (6-4): Kansas City’s offense looked unstoppable during a 5-0 start, but Pittsburgh provided a blueprint for slowing it down in Week 6, and the Chiefs have been pedestrian on offense ever since. The Chiefs have committed six turnovers in their last three games after having only one giveaway in their first seven contests, and rookie Kareem Hunt has not rushed for 100 yards in his last five games after doing so in four of his first five contests. Kansas City has struggled all around on defense but particularly against the run, holding only one opponent under 100 rushing yards.

      EXTRA POINTS

      1. Chiefs QB Alex Smith has not thrown an interception in his last four home games.

      2. McCoy has 352 scrimmage yards and three touchdowns in his last three meetings with the Chiefs.

      3. The Chiefs signed CB Darrelle Revis on Wednesday to solidify their secondary, but it is unclear whether he will play Sunday.

      PREDICTION: Chiefs 26, Bills 17

          Preview: Dolphins at Patriots
          Gracenote
          Nov 22, 2017

The New England Patriots and Miami Dolphins will be traveling in similar circles over the next few weeks despite squarely heading in opposite directions in the standings. The AFC East rivals will play the first of two encounters in a three-week stretch on Sunday when they meet in Foxborough, Mass.

"I think you prepare for this game the best you can and give yourself the best opportunity to perform well and win, and then worry about next week, next week," coach Bill Belichick said. The one-game-at-a-time approach has been a familiar refrain for Belichick and the Patriots, who breezed to their sixth straight win last week after dismantling Oakland 33-8 in Mexico City. A visit to New England hardly is comforting news for Miami, which hasn't walked out of Gillette Stadium with a victory since debuting the "Wildcat" offense in 2008. The reeling Dolphins are in need of a few more tricks up their sleeve as their once-sturdy defense has sprung a significant leak, with the team being outscored 142-65 during its four-game losing skid.

          TV: 1 p.m. ET, CBS. LINE: Patriots -16.5. O/U: 47.5

ABOUT THE DOLPHINS (4-6): Last Sunday originally was scheduled to be Miami's bye week, and the club certainly looked like it took the week off as Jay Cutler tossed three interceptions in the first two quarters of Sunday's 30-20 loss to Tampa Bay. Cutler was removed from the contest and is questionable to play this Sunday after being placed in concussion protocol, with Matt Moore completing 17 of 28 passes for 282 yards and a touchdown in relief. Jarvis Landry scored a touchdown for the third straight week and sixth time in seven outings, but the 24-year-old may get an earful from the New England faithful after saying in April that the Patriots would be swept by the Dolphins this season and "they're not our big brother anymore."

ABOUT THE PATRIOTS (8-2): Tom Brady completed a season-high 81.1 percent of his passes versus the Raiders and threw for three touchdowns for the second straight outing. Offseason acquisition Brandin Cooks reeled in six receptions for a season-best 149 yards with a touchdown last week and faces a Dolphins' secondary that has struggled in coverage. Rob Gronkowski saw both his production (three catches, 36 yards) and snaps (53) take a hit last week, with fellow tight end Martellus Bennett getting back up to speed in his second stint with the Patriots. Dion Lewis has assumed the reins in the crowded backfield by averaging 15 touches and 65.7 scrimmage yards over the last three games, with Super Bowl hero James White seeing both his role and playing time diminish in that stretch.

          EXTRA POINTS

          1. New England, which is averaging an NFL fourth-best 29.0 points per game, has outscored opponents 126-58 in the second quarter this season.

          2. Dolphins WR Kenny Stills, who erupted for seven catches for 180 yards and a touchdown last week, had a scoring reception in both contests versus the Patriots last season.

          3. New England has an NFL-least five turnovers and is tied for third with a plus-8 differential, while Miami is 29th with a minus-9 turnover differential (eight takeaways, 17 giveaways).

          PREDICTION: Patriots 37, Dolphins 10

              Gracenote
              Nov 22, 2017

After snapping its three-game skid last week, the Cincinnati Bengals look to boost their long-shot playoff hopes when they host the winless Cleveland Browns on Sunday. The Bengals, who blasted the blasted the Browns 31-7 earlier in the season, opened the week just one game out of the final wild-card playoff spot.

The Bengals hope that last week's 20-17 win at Denver jump-starts an unlikely playoff drive. Only two NFL teams have ever made the playoffs after starting a season 3-6. Cleveland was competitive once again last week, but fell apart late in a 19-7 loss to Jacksonville. The Browns dropped to 1-25 under coach Hue Jackson and are 4-43 since Nov. 30, 2014 -- the worst 47-game stretch in NFL history.
              TV: 1 p.m. ET, CBS. LINE: Bengals -8. O/U: 38.

ABOUT THE BROWNS (0-10): Turnovers continue to plague rookie quarterback DeShone Kizer, who was intercepted twice, sacked five times and lost two fumbles against the Jaguars. The Browns were held to just four yards of offense in the first quarter and scored their only points when Kizer hooked up with Duke Johnson for a 27-yard touchdown early in the second quarter. Corey Coleman made an instant impact in his return to action, catching six of his team-high 11 targets for 80 yards.
ABOUT THE BENGALS (4-6): Andy Dalton threw three touchdown passes in the win as the Bengals won in Denver for the first time since 1975 last week. Dalton has re-invigorated the deep passing game with four touchdown passes of 18 yards or more over the past two games after having just three through the first eight outings. A.J. Green has scored in consecutive weeks and ranks eighth in the NFL with 743 yards receiving and is tied for third with six touchdowns.

              EXTRA POINTS
              1. Bengals TE Tyler Kroft caught a scoring pass last week, but injured his hand and is questionable.
              2. Cleveland is just the third team in NFL history to start consecutive seasons at 0-10.
              3. The Browns are last in the NFL in scoring, averaging 15 points per game.

              PREDICTION: Bengals 20, Browns 17

The Seattle Seahawks have dropped two of their last three games as they maintain their pursuit of the first-place Los Angeles Rams in the NFC West. Seattle hopes to keep the heat on the Rams on Sunday as it visits the San Francisco 49ers, a team it has defeated seven consecutive times.

The Seahawks dropped a 34-31 decision to Atlanta on Monday night to remain one game behind Los Angeles and are being hurt by a suspect running game as quarterback Russell Wilson (376 yards) has nearly three times as many rushing yards as offseason acquisition Eddie Lacy. "I don't think it's a lack of talent at running back," Wilson told reporters. "We have some great running backs, we just have to do a little bit better, that's all." San Francisco lost its first nine games before giving first-year coach Kyle Shanahan his first victory and is coming off a bye. The 49ers were outscored 93-30 in the final three games of that skid before posting a 31-21 win over the New York Giants on Nov. 12.

                  TV: 4:05 p.m. ET, FOX. LINE: Seahawks -6.5. O/U: 45

ABOUT THE SEAHAWKS (6-4): Wilson gained 86 of Seattle's 136 rushing yards against the Falcons as the lack of production from the running backs continues to plague the offense. Wilson ranks second in the NFL with 2,801 passing yards and third with 21 touchdown tosses, but the team's scoring has fluctuated of late as it has recorded four contests of 16 or fewer points and two of more than 40. Middle linebacker Bobby Wagner ranks second in the NFL with 92 tackles and the defensive unit is tied for 10th in scoring defense (19.9 points) and ninth in total defense (314.9 yards).

ABOUT THE 49ERS (1-9): Shanahan announced Wednesday that rookie quarterback C.J. Beathard (four touchdowns, five interceptions) remains the starter as the recently acquired Jimmy Garoppolo isn't yet ready to play. "He just hasn't been here long enough, and I think he'll get an opportunity to be better each week," Shanahan told reporters. "I don't think we're going to see Jimmy's best football, to be fair to him, until next year because that's what guys need. But C.J. did play his best football last (game), which definitely, to me, made the decision easier." San Francisco continues to struggle defensively as it ranks 29th in scoring defense (26 points) and 27th in total defense (379.8 yards).

                  EXTRA POINTS

                  1. The Seahawks squeaked out a 12-9 victory in the season's first meeting.

                  2. San Francisco RB Carlos Hyde (592 yards) rushed for a season-best 124 yards in September's matchup.

                  3. Seattle released seven-time Pro Bowl DE Dwight Freeney, even though he recorded three sacks in four games with the club.

                  PREDICTION: Seahawks 23, 49ers 13

                      Nov 23, 2017

The Denver Broncos will have a new look on offense as they attempt to halt their six-game losing streak when they visit the Oakland Raiders on Sunday. Two days after replacing Mike McCoy as offensive coordinator with Bill Musgrave on an interim basis, coach Vance Joseph announced Paxton Lynch would make his first start of the season at quarterback in place of Brock Osweiler.

Lynch, who made two starts for the Broncos as a rookie last season, had been inactive for the team's first nine games due to the sprained shoulder he suffered during the preseason. While Denver fell to 0-6 since its bye with last Sunday's 20-17 setback against Cincinnati, the Raiders also flopped after their week off as they were trounced 33-8 in Mexico City last week by New England. Oakland had won two of three before the bye but now stands two games behind Kansas City for first place in the AFC West. The Broncos are 0-4 on the road this season and occupy the basement in the divison, one game back of the Raiders and Los Angeles Chargers.

                      TV: 4:25 p.m. ET, CBS. LINE: Raiders -5. O/U: 43.5

ABOUT THE BRONCOS (3-7): The 23-year-old Lynch, who stands 6-7 but was sacked nine times while throwing two touchdown passes and one interception in three games last season, discounted the notion of feeling pressure this week. "You can't let the season get bigger than you or the game be bigger than you," he told reporters. "Whether we were on a winning streak or not, it's one game at a time, so that was the mentality coming into it." Emmanuel Sanders, who is second on the team with 448 receiving yards, has played in the team's last three games after missing two with an ankle injury but sat out Wednesday's practice.

ABOUT THE RAIDERS (4-6): While Denver took a new approach offensively, Oakland did the same on the other side of the ball, relieving Ken Norton Jr. of his duties as defensive coordinator on Tuesday and replacing him with John Pagano. "After careful thought, I have made a difficult decision," coach Jack Del Rio said in a statement. "I have the utmost respect for Ken as a person and as a coach, but I feel that moving John Pagano into the play-calling role will best utilize his wealth of experience." Khalil Mack has feasted on Denver quarterbacks of late, registering nine sacks in his last four meetings with the club.

                      EXTRA POINTS

                      1. Broncos CB Aqib Talib (shoulder) also did not participate in practice on Wednesday.

                      2. Oakland's Jared Cook is one of five tight ends in the league with at least 40 catches (41) and 500 receiving yards (535).

                      3. Denver has not won since beating Oakland 16-10 at home on Oct. 1.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have been one of the biggest surprises in the NFL this season as they sit atop the AFC South after finishing last season in the basement with a 3-13 record. The Jaguars attempt to maintain first place in the division when they visit the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.

Jacksonville owns a one-game lead in the South over Tennessee thanks to a winning streak that reached four games with last Sunday's 19-7 triumph at Cleveland. The Jaguars' defense has been a huge reason for their turnaround, as it has allowed a league-low average of 14.1 points per game. Arizona is in the midst of its first losing streak of the campaign as it has dropped back-to-back contests against Seattle and Houston. The positive from last week's 31-21 road setback against the Texans was the fact the Cardinals eclipsed the 20-point mark for the first time in four games and third time overall this season.

                          TV: 4:25 p.m. ET, CBS. LINE: Jaguars -5.5. O/U: 38

ABOUT THE JAGUARS (7-3): Jacksonville has held opponents under 10 points in six of its first 10 games and can become the fifth team since 1940 to do so in seven of its initial 11 contests. Leonard Fournette ranks third in the AFC with 740 rushing yards and has registered four 100-yard performances, which is tied for the most in the league this season and second-most by a rookie in franchise history. Blake Bortles has excelled against the NFC on the road, recording 1,144 passing yards and 11 touchdowns in four career games.

ABOUT THE CARDINALS (4-6): After completing 22-of-34 passes for 257 yards and a career-high three touchdowns last week in his debut with Arizona, Blaine Gabbert gets a shot at the team that drafted him 10th overall in 2011. "Things didn't work out for me there, but looking back on it, hindsight is always 20/20," the 28-year-old Gabbert told reporters regarding his time in Jacksonville. "There were some things in my control, some things out of my control. For whatever reason, it didn't work, but I wouldn't change it at all." Larry Fitzgerald reached 15,157 career receiving yards last week, passing Tony Gonzalez for fifth place on the all-time list, and needs 52 yards against the Jaguars to overtake Isaac Bruce (15,208) for fourth.

                          EXTRA POINTS

                          1. Fitzgerald, who is 136 receiving yards behind Randy Moss for third all-time, needs six catches on Sunday to join Gonzalez and Jerry Rice as the only players in NFL history with 1,200 career receptions.

                          2. Jacksonville DE Calais Campbell, who played for Arizona from 2008-16, is tied for the league lead with 11.5 sacks.

                          3. Arizona RB Adrian Peterson is one away from becoming the ninth player in league history with 100 career rushing touchdowns.

                          PREDICTION: Jaguars 33, Cardinals 17

Not much was expected of the New Orleans Saints and Los Angeles Rams before the start of the season, but expectations change. The two division leaders will square off on Sunday when the Saints put their eight-game winning streak on the line against the host Rams.

Los Angeles leads the NFC West but saw its four-game winning streak come to an end last week in a rare struggle for the offense, 24-7 at Minnesota. "It's frustrating, but, you know, the reality is we need it. We need some adversity," left tackle Andrew Whitworth told reporters. "You know, it's not to say we didn't need to come back and win that game. But, you know what? Some of the adverse situations in that game -- on the road in a really hard place to play against probably one of the best defenses in the league -- to play the kind of game that we were in, and for this team to be in the game that we were in, I think it shows you that we're legit and that we're the real deal. And if we get this opportunity again in the playoffs, and get a chance to get in, then we'll be prepared for it." The Rams are in for a test against another top defense in New Orleans, which held six of its last eight opponents to 20 or fewer points. The Saints are starting to show some wear on that defense as injuries mount, and defensive end Alex Okafor will miss the rest of the season after suffering an Achilles injury in last week's 34-31 win over Washington.

                              TV: 4:25 p.m. ET, FOX. LINE: Rams -2.5. O/U: 53.5

ABOUT THE SAINTS (8-2): New Orleans is averaging 30.2 points -- third in the NFL -- and is taking the pressure off quarterback Drew Brees and the passing game with a ground attack led by veteran Mark Ingram and rookie Alvin Kamara. Ingram was named the NFC's Offensive Player of the Week after rumbling for 134 yards on just 11 carries in last week's win and is over 1,000 yards from scrimmage on the season (806 rushing, 213 receiving). Kamara is on the verge of 1,000 yards as well (459 rushing, 447 receiving) and scored at least one TD in each of the last four games.

ABOUT THE RAMS (7-3): Los Angeles is one spot ahead of New Orleans in scoring offense (second in the NFL at 30.3 points) but will be without top wide receiver Robert Woods for the next couple of games due to a shoulder injury. Rookie Cooper Kupp is second on the team with 481 receiving yards and will be expected to pick up the slack along with Sammy Watkins (408 yards, four TDs) and Tavon Austin, a former first-round pick without a reception in any of the last three games. "I don't expect much of a fall-off," Rams quarterback Jared Goff told reporters. "I know Robert Woods is special, and his production has been great this year, but I'm looking forward to seeing guys step up this week."

                              EXTRA POINTS

                              1. Saints rookie CB Marshon Lattimore (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday and is questionable for Sunday.

                              2. Los Angeles LB Mark Barron, who leads the team with 72 tackles and three interceptions, is questionable due to a hand injury.

                              3. New Orleans signed CBs Sterling Moore and Dexter McDougal this week.

                              PREDICTION: Rams 31, Saints 27
