    Michigan vs. Ohio State
    Ohio State -1.5

These two Big Ten rivals meet on the basketball court Monday night. Home court is surely worth a few points to the Buckeyes. I think we see Ohio State win a close game

      JACK JONES

Jack’s Free Pick Monday: Dallas Mavericks -3

The Dallas Mavericks are playing their best basketball of the season right now. They are 4-3 SU & 5-2 ATS in their last seven games overall. They have blowout home wins over Milwaukee (by 32), Oklahoma City (by 16) and the LA Clippers (by 26) during this stretch.
Now they face a Denver Nuggets team that is reeling with the losses of their two best players. Both Paul Millsap and Nikola Jokic are out indefinitely with wrist and ankle injuries, respectively. Wilson Chandler is also questionable with a back injury. You just can’t replace two players the caliber of Millsap and Jokic.
Denver is 0-7 ATS off a win by 10 points or more this season. It is coming back to lose by a whopping 14.9 points per game on average in this spot. The Mavericks are 14-6 ATS in their last 10 home games vs. a team with a losing road record. The Nuggets are 1-4-1 ATS in their last six trips to Dallas. The home team is 9-3-1 ATS in the last 13 meetings.
Plays on home favorites (Dallas) - off a home blowout win by 20 points or more against an opponent off a home win scoring 110 or more points are 61-27 (69.3%) ATS since 1996. Bet the Mavericks Monday.

        Wolves vs. Grizzlies
        Wolves-2½

We're going against the Grizzlies again. The team is in free-fall and we don't expect improvements until Mike Conley returns from an achilles injury. Minnesota played and won last night and we look for another strong effort on Monday. Memphis has dropped 11 straight games (1-9-1 ATS) and averaged just 89 ppg before a 116-111 loss to Cleveland over the weekend. We don't put much into the 111 point effort when we consider the Cavs could have won that game by 30+ if they didn't let off the gas. The Grizzlies have lost eight in a row ATS at home and we'll go against them again. I'm recommending a play on Minnesota minus the points. Thanks & GL! Scott Spreitzer.

          DAVE PRICE

          1* on Phoenix Suns +10.5

The Key: The Philadelphia 76ers are starting to get too much love from oddsmakers. They are now double-digit home favorites over the Phoenix Suns tonight. This is a Suns team that went into Boston on Saturday and nearly pulled the upset, losing just 111-116 as 12.5-point dogs. I have no doubt they can hang around with the 76ers as well. The Suns are 14-6-1 ATS in their last 21 vs. a team with a winning record. The Suns are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 meetings with Philadelphia. Take Phoenix.

              Pistons vs. Spurs
              Spurs-3½

Gregg Popovich is already starting to rest players. With a tough matchup against the Pistons and big man Andre Drummond on tap for tonight, LaMarcus Aldridge was held out of Sunday night’s game against Oklahoma City. The Spurs still played the Thunder tough (losing by 3), but it should pay benefits against the Pistons. Heading into Sunday, San Antonio had won four straight, and now the Spurs have held opponents to under 100 points in 7 of the last 10 games – and that’s without their best defensive player, injured forward Kawhi Leonard. SA should have enough to cover the 3.5.

NHL Monday Free Pick Boston Bruins Money Line (+) @ Nashville Predators @ 8:05 ET

Nashville has a big game with division rival Dallas tomorrow night. The Predators are also coming off of a win over Anaheim and that was a big game as they had battled the Ducks in the Western Conference Finals last season. This is a classic flat spot for the Preds here given the scheduling situation while the Bruins don't play again until Thursday at home against Arizona. Rest assured there is no lookahead for Boston here given that the league-worst Coyotes await 3 days away. The Bruins have won 6 of 7 and I love the small dog price here as many will grab the "bait" and take the Predators on home ice laying a small price. Nashville has lost 18 of 30 (-$12,000) in December action. The Bruins have won 30 of 48 (+$14,400) road games with a posted total of 5.5 goals. Free Pick on BOSTON

                      Preview: Magic at Hornets

                      Gracenote
                      Dec 3, 2017

The slumping Charlotte Hornets could get leading scorer Kemba Walker back in the lineup Monday night when they host the Orlando Magic. Walker, who is averaging 22.3 points and scored 34 in a 120-113 victory over Orlando on Oct. 29, practiced fully on Sunday and is on track to return after missing the previous two games with a sore left shoulder.

Walker’s presence would be a welcome sight for the Hornets, who have dropped four in a row to fall below the Magic in the Southeast Division after Friday’s 105-100 setback at Miami in which they allowed 14 makes from 3-point range. “I’m good. Just get back out there and do what I do and be a leader. We’ve been struggling lately,” Walker told the Charlotte Observer. “I hate missing games. It was tough watching, especially because we lost.” Walker might be facing a rejuvenated Orlando team, which won for only the second time in 12 games after outlasting New York 105-100 on Sunday with 34 points and 12 rebounds from center Nikola Vucevic and just enough improvement on defense. “We’ve gotta start defending, even better than we did (Sunday),” Orlando coach Frank Vogel told reporters. “We made some progress (against the Knicks), but we’ve got to be better.”

TV: 7 p.m. ET, FSN Florida (Orlando), FSN Southeast (Charlotte)

ABOUT MAGIC (10-14): Vucevic rebounded from a season-low six points against Golden State on Friday by draining 13-of-19 from the field against the Knicks while adding three assists and a pair of blocks. Aaron Gordon cooled off a bit with just 10 points Sunday after scoring 69 in the previous two combined and Evan Fournier has posted back-to-back 20-point outings for the first time since stringing six together from Oct. 24-Nov. 3. Point guard Elfrid Payton has shot at least 50 percent from the field in six straight games and is averaging 15.5 points during that stretch.

ABOUT HORNETS (8-13): Veteran center Dwight Howard saw his six-game streak of double-doubles end Friday as he was held to 10 points and nine boards, but is in the top 10 of the league in rebounding (12.5) and field-goal percentage (58 percent). Shooting guard Jeremy Lamb is second on the team in scoring (15.9) and Frank Kaminsky has made an impact off the bench this season, averaging 11 points (13.0 in the past three games). Marvin Williams poured in 16 points in Friday’s loss - his second-highest output this season - after averaging four the previous two games.

                      BUZZER BEATERS

                      1. Charlotte has won eight straight meetings, scoring at least 107 points in all of them and 120 or more in four.

                      2. The Hornets entered Sunday 28th in the league in free-throw shooting percentage (72.3).

                      3. Orlando SG Terrence Ross, who is averaging nine points, missed the last two games and is out indefinitely with a sprained right MCL.

                      PREDICTION: Hornets 111, Magic 100

                          Preview: Knicks at Pacers

                          Gracenote
                          Dec 3, 2017

Victor Oladipo looks to follow up his best scoring night of the season and break his team out of a mini-slump when the Indiana Pacers host the injury-depleted New York Knicks on Monday. Oladipo scored 36 points on 14-of-22 shooting while adding seven rebounds, six assists, three steals and three blocks in Friday’s 120-115 setback at Toronto - the Pacers’ third loss in four contests.

“I was just trying to do whatever it takes to keep us going, to keep us in the game,” Oladipo, who is averaging 23.4 points in his first season with Indiana, told reporters after the defeat. “It was a tough loss. We have to learn from it.” The Pacers must be better inside after giving up 70 points in the paint Friday, but Indiana won’t have to face New York’s top two scorers. Kristaps Porzingis (25.8), who recorded 40 points in a 108-101 win over the Pacers on Nov. 5, missed Sunday’s loss to Orlando with an ankle injury while Tim Hardaway Jr. (17.8) sat out with a left leg ailment and the Knicks told reporters both won’t make the trip to Indiana. New York has dropped four of its last five contests overall and four straight on the road.

ABOUT THE KNICKS (11-11): Forward Michael Beasley scored 21 in the 105-100 loss to the Magic on Sunday - his second-highest total of the season - and Enes Kanter registered 18 points and 16 rebounds for his second straight double-double after missing the previous three games with injury. Courtney Lee added 19 points in the loss and is averaging 18.6 in his last five games while Lance Thomas came off the bench to score a season-high 11. The good news Sunday was rookie Frank Ntilikina returning to the lineup after missing just one game with an ankle injury and contributing nine points in 16 minutes.

ABOUT THE PACERS (12-11): Center Myles Turner has been bothered by a sore knee, but is still averaging 17.3 points over the last four games and is expected to be in the lineup against the Knicks. “I’ve got two days to recover, it’s a bruise, swelling wasn’t an issue,” Turner told the Indianapolis Star on Friday. “I pretty much knew I was going to play. It’s going to take way more than that to keep me out.” Bojan Bogdanovic (14.8 points) hopes to recover from a 2-for-11 shooting performance against Toronto and Domantas Sabonis (12.5 points, 8.7 rebounds) was 4-for-14 in the last two.

                          BUZZER BEATERS

                          1. New York’s rookie SG Damyean Dotson made his first start Sunday in Hardaway’s spot and scored two points in 22 minutes.

                          2. The Knicks have won the last three meetings, including a 109-103 win at Indiana last January.

                          3. Pacers PF Thaddeus Young is averaging 17.5 points on 17-of-28 from the field in his last two contests.

                          PREDICTION: Pacers 112, Knicks 100

                              Preview: Suns at 76ers

The Phoenix Suns and the Philadelphia 76ers are both trying to build young rosters into playoff contenders, one is just doing it better right now. The 76ers will try to continue their success at home when they host the Suns on Monday.

Philadelphia is 5-1 in its last six home games and only lost three times in its last 10 games overall -- to the Golden State Warriors, Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics. "I think the thing that I most appreciate is the vocal side of this building, the ability to get low, get high, it really wears its heart on its sleeve," 76ers coach Brett Brown told reporters of the home arena. "We feel it. You're on the sideline, you feel it. To ultimately be able to close out a game, and give these amazingly passionate fans something to walk out of the building and be proud of is fantastic." The Suns fell to 1-3 on their six-game road trip with a 116-111 loss at Boston on Saturday and surrendered an average of 122 points in the three losses on the trip. Phoenix is last in the NBA in average points allowed (115.8) and allowed the Celtics to shoot 52.5 percent from the field.
TV: 7 p.m. ET, FS Arizona (Phoenix), NBCS Philadelphia

ABOUT THE SUNS (8-16): Phoenix nearly erased a 17-point deficit in the fourth quarter at Boston and feels like it missed an opportunity to knock off the team with the best record in the NBA. "We competed well, we've just got to not make mistakes and compete for more possessions than we did tonight," interim coach Jay Triano told reporters after the game. "It's just understanding the game and what's available and not making mistakes down the stretch. Our discipline has to be better." Shooting guard Devin Booker poured in 39 points on 16-of-29 shooting in Boston and is averaging 31 points on 55 percent shooting over the last three games.
ABOUT THE 76ERS (13-9): Philadelphia already seems to be preparing itself for a trip to the playoffs, and every win is part of a learning process that will help it in the spring. The 76ers rode 25 points and 10 rebounds from center Joel Embiid to a 108-103 win over the Detroit Pistons on Saturday, pulling it out in the fourth quarter after squandering a lead in the third. "That's a good win for us," Embiid told reporters. "Getting those wins against what could be (a playoff team) is always good, learning the style of play."

                              BUZZER BEATERS

                              1. Suns C Tyson Chandler grabbed a season-high 18 rebounds on Saturday in his second double-double of the season.

                              2. 76ers rookie PG Ben Simmons scored five points on Saturday -- his first game scoring in single digits.

                              3. Phoenix snapped a three-game losing streak in the series with a 123-116 home win over Philadelphia on Dec. 23, 2016.
