The Portland Trail Blazers should not be favored tonight. They are going to be without their best player in Damian Lillard due to a leg injury. He’s the one player they cannot afford to lose. The Nuggets come in hungry for a victory after losing their last two games by a combined 9 points to Oklahoma City and Minnesota. So they won’t be taking the Blazers lightly despite the fact that they’re without Lillard. And they just lost to the Blazers in their first meeting a month ago, so they’ll be out for revenge. The Nuggets are 24-11 ATS in their last 35 games following a straight up loss, and 7-2 ATS in their last nine games following an ATS loss. The Blazers are 1-4-2 ATS in their last seven home games. Give me the Nuggets.

      NBA | Knicks vs Pistons
      Play on: Pistons -6 -105 at 5Dimes

Jack’s Free Pick Friday: Detroit Pistons -6
The New York Knicks will be playing the 2nd of a back-to-back tonight after a 102-93 home win over the Boston Celtics last night. Kristaps Porzingis made his return from injury, but went 0-for-11 and didn’t attempt a shot in the second half. He clearly isn’t 100% and it wouldn’t surprise me if they continue to rest him tonight.
Off such a big win over the Celtics, I think this is clearly a letdown spot for the Knicks. And New York hasn’t been nearly as good on the road as it has been at home this season. In fact, it’s one of the biggest discrepancies in the league. The Knicks are 2-9 SU & 3-8 ATS on the road this season, getting outscored by an average of 10.6 points per game.
The Pistons have turned it around here of late. They have won three of their last four games coming in despite playing three of those four on the road. And now they will be fresh as this is just their 2nd game in 5 days. The Pistons are a solid 9-5 at home this year and have one of the most underrated home-court advantages in the league.
The home team is 7-1 ATS in the last eight meetings in this series. The favorite is 21-7 ATS in the last 28 meetings. Detroit is 5-1 ATS in its last six games following a loss by more than 10 points. New York is 3-9 ATS in its last 12 road games. The Knicks are 2-6 ATS in their last eight games playing on 0 days’ rest. Bet the Pistons Friday.

            NBA | Hornets vs Bucks
            Play on: Bucks -5 -103 at 5Dimes

            Dave’s Friday Free Play:
            1* on Milwaukee Bucks -5
The Key: The Milwaukee Bucks are 7-4 in their last 11 games overall. They just beat Cleveland and their quotes coming out of the locker room indicate this is a must-win. And they will want to avenge a 126-121 road loss at Charlotte in their last meeting this season. But the Bucks didn’t have Eric Bledsoe then, and his speed will be key in trying to slow down Kemba Walker, who torched them last time. The Hornets have been brutal of late, going 3-11 SU & 3-10-1 ATS in their last 13 games overall. Charlotte is 3-11-2 ATS in its last 16 road games. The favorite is 6-1 ATS in the last 7 meetings. Take Milwaukee.

NCAA-B | Duquesne vs San Francisco
Play on: San Francisco -4 -110 at BMaker

Free Pick on San Fran -
I like the value here with the Dons as a short favorite against the Dukes in Friday's first round action in the Las Vegas Classic. Duquesne has won 6 straight and are 8-3, but a closer look at their resume shows the Dukes have simply taken advantage of a soft schedule. Their 6-game winning streak has come against the likes of Maryland-Eastern Shore, Stetson, Delaware St, Mississippi Valley St, North Carolina A&T and Lamar. Not a single one of those games had a line posted. The game that really tells me this isn't as good a team as their record is their 12-point loss to Pittsburgh on a neutral court. While the Panthers are out of the ACC, they are way down this year.
As for San Francisco, they come in at 7-4 and have won 4 of their last 5 with the only loss being a true road game at Stanford. The Dons are one of the better teams in the West Coast Conference, as they returned 4 starters from a team that won 20-games last year. Last time out they won 52-41 at home over Radford and that's important to note as the Dons are an impressive 30-16 ATS in their last 46 away from home off a home win by 10 or more points. Take San Francisco!

NCAA-B | Eastern Michigan vs Oakland
                    Play on: Oakland -7 -105 at 5Dimes

After a PERFECT 4-0 mark in basketball last night, ASA is back with a HUGE 3 GAME PACKAGE tonight (2 NBA & 1 CBB)! Don't miss another undefeated night on the hardwood from ASA!
ASA PLAY ON Oakland -7 over Eastern Michigan, Friday at 7:00 PM ET
Oakland has been patiently waiting for this game since losing 95-89 @ Eastern Michigan on December 6th. Oakland was favored by 2 in that road game now laying just 7.5 at home. The Grizzlies kept it tight throughout despite EMU hitting a whopping 56% of their shots a full 10 percentage points higher than their season average. The Eagles have played one of the weakest schedules in the nation ranking 298th in strength of schedule and having played only 1 top 100 team the entire season. That was a 20 point loss to Indiana. Half of their games (5) have not even had lines posted on them because of their lower tier opponents. EMU was in California last weekend and came from 9 points down to beat Long Beach State 85-80. Now back to the Midwest tonight before heading to Syracuse next week to take on the Orange which is a huge game for them as their head coach Rob Murphy was an assistant for years under Jim Boeheim. Oakland has played a tough slate already facing the likes of Kansas, Syracuse, and Michigan State. They played the Spartans just last weekend and led the game with 10:00 minutes remaining but lost by 13. Earlier this week they played host to Towson (a top 100 team) and won by 11 but the game was much worse as Oakland led by 29 points in the 2nd half. They are 5-0 at home this year with all 5 wins coming by double digits. We like this early season revenge spot for Oakland and look for an easy win tonight.
