5-Unit Play. #568 Take Idaho (-6) over UC Irvine (9:30 p.m., Thursday, December 21)
This one is shaping up to be a lopsided win in favor of Idaho. UC Irvine has been absolutely slapped around this year. They are 4-10 overall, with two of those wins coming against non D-I talent and their ten losses by an average 13.9 points. Idaho is 8-3 but more importantly 4-1 in December with an average margin of win by 22.5 points this month. Irvine has practically been on the road the entirity of December, and overall they haven't won a game all month. This isn't a good match-up for them here, facing a talented and confident Idaho team. More of the same for these two as they continue going in opposite directions. Idaho by 13 in Boise.
7-Unit Play. #539. Take Liberty -1.5 over Forty Wayne (Thursday @ 1pm est)
We roll with Liberty here in a small conference game that might surprise you and please note that this is an early game on the docket today. This is a Liberty team that is a bit undervalued considering they are a top 110 defense, a team that lost to a very dynamic Houston team by just 2 points earlier this year and held them to just 68 points, lost to a very good UNC Greensboro team who is a top 115 team in triple overtime, a team that beat a very good Georgia State team on the road - oh and a team that beat Wake Forrest on the road by 13 points. That speaks volumes as sure Fort Wayne beat Indiana in its last game but this is a classic let down spot for them as they face an even better defensive team than Indiana in Liberty who are very sound. By the way, Liberty is the #1 Free Throw Shooting team in the Country as well. Fort Wayne is the same team that lost to outside the top 250 Miami of Ohio and gave up 80+ points to a horrible Detroit team who is outside the top 300. Let down spot here for Fort Wayne, Liberty will be up for this game as they have fared well against top 100 teams and the difference here is Liberty's defense. Let's get back over +$4000 in profit with a win today.
1-Unit Play. Take #526 UT-Arlington (-15) over Cal Poly (8 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 21)
This is a really good team that's played a really tough schedule. They are finally back home and coming off a tough loss at Creighton. Arlington also lost their last home game and they are going to want to get that one back. The Mavericks have a great one-two punch with Erick Neal and Kevin Hervey and they should be enough to punish a bad Poly team.
1-Unit Play. Take #530 Arizona (-15.5) over Connecticut (9 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 21)
Connecticut is just a bad, bad basketball team. And I have a feeling that this season could be Kevin Ollie's swan song. They've gotten buried by the best teams they've played, losing by 20 against Michigan State, by 35 against Arkansas and by nine against Syracuse in a game that was never that close. And those were neutral site games. Playing a true road game at Arizona is not going to be any easier and I think they will get run.
1-Unit Play. Take #534 Texas A&M (-14) over Buffalo (9 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 21)
I think this is a letdown spot for Buffalo. They just took Syracuse to the limit on Tuesday and then had to turn around and fly to Texas A&M to play a much, much better team on Thursday. That's a tough spot. A&M is a lot bigger and stronger than Syracuse and they will be even better defensively after the Bulls struggled against SU's 2-3 zone. Texas A&M did not play well against Northern Kentucky in a six-point win on Tuesday. I think coach Billy Kennedy is going to give them the whip here since this is their last home game before the start of SEC play.
1-Unit Play. Take #536 San Diego State (+6) over Gonzaga (10 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 21)
1-Unit Play. Take #546 UTEP (-10) over Howard (9:30 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 21)
The Miners have a new coach and a new focus now that Tim Floyd is gone. They've won three straight games, including wins over New Mexico and Washington State, and they have the two best players on the floor in Keith Frazier and Omega Harris. UTEP got the rust out with an unimpressive win over Incarnate Word this week after a 10-day layoff. Now they should be ready to ratchet it up against a Howard team that doesn't have a win against a D-I opponent this year. Howard starts four freshmen and they lost by bigger margins against worse teams.
2-Unit Play. Take #552 Jacksonville State (-9) over Chattanooga (1 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 21)
The Mocs lost to Jacksonville State at home earlier this year. I don't think it will be any different on the road. This is a really solid Jaguars team. And they are coming off one of their worst efforts of the season, almost losing to Howard. But prior to that their four previous wins had been by 16, 19, 31 and 8 points. The Jags have the edge with size and experience. Mix in the home court and I like them to win this one going away.
2-Unit Play. Take #556 Rhode Island (-12) over Iona (7 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 21)
I think this is a great spot for the Rams to lay the wood. Iona doesn't play any defense at all. And that's the end of the court that Rhode Island excels at. The Rams are finally healthy with E.C. Matthews back in the fold and I expect him to be even better than he was against Charleston, which was his first game in over a month. The Rams are on a 12-4 ATS push and they have the edge at both ends of the court. They should get it done.
5-Unit Play. Take #564 Minnesota (-20) over Oral Roberts (8 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 21)
Oral Roberts just got wrecked by Arkansas by 35 points. It is not going to get any easier here against Minnesota. Oral Roberts has gotten wrecked by just about any major conference team they've faced this year. And the Golden Gophers are a team that has had 10 days to get healthy and get their mojo back after a really disappointing start to December. Minnesota's two big guys, Jordan Murphy and Reggie Lynch, should dominate the post. And there is no way Oral Roberts has the guards to match up with the Gophers. This one should be a bloodbath.
3-Unit Play. Take #568 Idaho (-6) over UC-Irvine (9:30 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 21)
Look, UC-Irvine just isn't the same team that we've seen the last few years. They only have two wins against D-I teams this year and neither was impressive. This team doesn't have the dominating size that they are used to boasting and they have played a brutal schedule. I think this team is worn out. This is their fifth straight road game and third road game since Saturday. No mas. Idaho is one of the more experienced teams in the country and they have been great at home this season. They are coming off a 30-point win over a solid Western Michigan team on the road and I think that the Vandals will get it done here as well.
1-Unit Play. TEASER: Take #532 DePaul (-12) over Miami, OH (9 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 21) AND Take #536 San Diego State (+11) over Gonzaga (10 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 21)
1-Unit Play. Take #546 UTEP (-5) over Howard (9:30 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 21) AND Take #552 Jacksonville State (-4) over Chattanooga (1 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 21)
Carpe diem. Good luck.
4 Unit Play. #520 Take South Florida -1.5 over Charlotte (7 pm) The 49ers fired a former NBA player as their coach this season and I do not see a remarkable turnaround for them upcoming. Charlotte has lost four of their last five games and they are just 1-3 in true road games. USF has won two straight games and for the most part they have beaten the teams they were supposed to beat especially at home. Charlotte is 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games overall. USF is 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games played on Thursday.
4 Unit Play. #564 Take Minnesota -21 over Oral Roberts (8 pm) Minnesota has not been playing up to their talent level of late and they need a game to get back on track. Oral Roberts should provide a 30-point victory for Minnesota. When the Golden Eagles lose they tend to lose big and that will be the case once again on Thursday. Oral Roberts is 4-12 ATS (1 push) in their last 17 road games.
4 Unit Play. #568 Take Idaho -6 over UC Irvine (9:30 pm) The Anteaters are in a funk now having lost five straight games and I do not see things getting better in Boise. Idaho has a lot of talent back and they are 8-3 on the season with two of their loses coming against UCSB. They already have a win against Washington State and they will win this game by double digits. Idaho is 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games against teams with a losing record. Irvine is 3-12 ATS in their last 15 games.

**7U THURSDAY ROYAL/SPORTING THURSDAY @ 2:45PM
Royal Antwerp -1/2 -135
7-unit Play. #204730. Competition: Belgium Jupiler League. Take Royal Antwerp -1/2(-135) over Sporting Lokeren. (Thursday @ 2:30 pm est) (For this match to Win, Royal Antwerp must Win by 1 or more goals, Regulation + Injury time).
Our Thursday pick comes from the Belgium top division the Jupiler League when Royal Antwerp host Sporting Lokeren. Antwerp currently sit in fourth place on 31 points, three points behind third place Anderlecht and two points ahead of fifth place Gent. Antwerp are on a three-match unbeaten run and winners of their last two-matches in a row. On Sunday Antwerp won 2-1 at 11th place Zulte-Waregem. These two wins snapped a three-match winless run including a 4-2 loss at Kortrijk in the Bulgium Cup. For the visitors, Lokeren enter this match in 15th place on 18 points, level with 14th place Mechelen and five points ahead of last place AS Eupen. Lokeren are on an eight-match winless run with five losses and three draws. In Lokeren's last match they drew 1-1 at home, however on the road Lokeren are winless in their last four-matches and on a two-match losing streak, losing at Gent 2-1 in the Belgium Cup and 3-1 at Club Brugge. Lokeren actually hold a 6-5-4 edge over Antwerp in 15 matches played. These two sides drew 1-1 at Lokeren early in the season.
Cal Irvine is coming off a bad loss to Montana. But the game before that the Anteaters held St. Mary's to seven points under its scoring average and 41.1 percent shooting from the floor. The Gaels have the 16th-highest field goal percentage in the nation at 50.9. Point being Irvine can play defense. So can Idaho, which ranks 28th in scoring defense and 27th in defensive field goal percentage. Both team's defenses far outshine their offenses. The Under is 18-7-1 in Idaho's last 26 non-league games. Yes, the total is low but it’s not low enough
