Falcons -3.5 over Panthers
There is some good things about the Falcons and some bad things about the Falcons. The coaching decisions and the play calling in my opinion is why they are on the playoff bubble. This team has more talent than anybody, but not the right minds calling in the plays. The good news is Matt Ryan has not been sacked that much this year and if they get into the playoffs that is going to make the dangerous. Carolina has been playing well and this game is important for them because of seeding, but they are in the playoffs which is a huge monkey off their back. Atlanta is the more desperate team and today’s setting for a football game couldn’t be more of an advantage for them. The Panthers do not have many healthy wide receivers for this game so I can’t see them keeping up the pace on this fast track inside the dome. Teams have been gashing this Panthers Defense for big chunk plays so I do expect Atlanta to do the same. This team can be so great if they just don’t beat themselves. The question today is do they beat themselves? Take the Falcons.

This is an odd game because the Jags are locked in to their seed and have nothing to play for, but the coaching staff said the starters were going to play. Let’s remember they will have a game in a few short days if they get the Saturday game and let’s also remember the weather in this game is going to be cold and windy. If I am a coach I would not put my players through something so strenuous so late in the year. The real kicker is if the Titans win they will be playing the Jags next week in Jacksonville. So to add to my point the Jags would be silly to show an A+ game plan to the Titans for them to scout this upcoming week if they do get the victory. If I am the Jags I want this struggling Titans team as my first playoff opponent. The Titans have the same starting 5 offensive linemen dating back to last year and must take advantage today to avoid an epic collapse of not being able to reach the postseason. I don’t think the Jags are going to risk much and I think Tennessee moves on to the next round. Take the Titans.

The Atlanta Falcons can qualify for a wild-card berth with a victory over the Panthers and they get the victory because of their defense. The Falcons come into this game trending UNDER games cashing 4-straight under tickets and the Carolina Panthers last weekend held Tampa to only 19 points. Should be a close hard fought division battle and this game flies under the number. Panthers last 8 division games 5 of them have gone UNDER and the Atlanta Falcons are 1-7 O/U against a team with a winning record.

Rams are resting key players for the playoffs and the San Francisco 49ers will expose the Rams for resting those players. Plain and simple the Rams offense will be without QB Goff and RB Gurley and with them both sitting the Rams offense will struggle to put up points Sunday late afternoon. The 49ers have won 4-straight games and since they traded for QB Jimmy Garoppolo the 49ers are a totally different team. How things change when you have a quality quarterback and right now the 49ers are playing their best football all season long. San Francisco wins this game and Garoppolo has another big game.
